"The cottage is set on a cliff top behind a gun emplacement at the rear of Portsea Camp and only has spectacular views from the viewing area above this emplacement and not from the cottage itself. The property wasn’t ready when we arrived at 2pm. The beds hadn’t been stripped and remade. The property has a carpark at the front which fills as locals head to the beach every day, traipsing across the Portsea Camp grounds. "Overall we were very happy but there were a couple of little disappointments; we came to attend a wedding so the absence of an iron and ironing board was both annoying and disappointing. There is also a need for some maintenance on the upstairs sliding doors which are hard to open and we were amazed that within 8 hours of arriving we ran out of toilet paper and had to go out and buy more - it seemed a little penny pinching."
