"A very original place to stay- be aware it is a little out of the way abd not a typical hotel- but you have access to a kitchen to make your dinner/lunch. The breakfast provided was wonderful!!! "

"This circa 1700’s village was both interesting and beautiful. The staff was very caring and communicative. Parking was great once you can find it. The walls are a bit thin so noise travels but guests were respectful and that was the only downside. The bed was xcelle t and a FAN was provided in room. Nearby restaurants were excellent and the towns on the coast were really fun to visit. Truly a highlight of our trip. "

"After a long cold and rainy day on the Camino, Manuel picked us up in town. This was a life saver as we were so wet and cold from the walk. Upon arrival there was a welcoming fire and coffee and cookies. We felt right at home. We were the only guest so we were able to enjoy the family room by the fire all evening. "El apartamento es un piso bajo muy pequeño: cocina unida a comedor sin apenas espacio, pues hay que desplegar la mesa para comer. Sillas plegables porque no caben normales. Una de las habitaciones es enana y en las "no-ventanas" que no se ven en la foto solo hay un pequeño espacio para la ventilación. Una de las habitaciones es enana, la vitrocerámica no funciona, la. nevera es pequeñísima,... Si vas solo a dormir, pase, si pretendes hacer más vida allí, olvídate. El entorno fantástico, eso sí."

Maria José the owner is delightful - friendly, efficient and brimming over with knowledge and enthusiasm about the area. There was a puzzling shortage of basic kitchen equipment - wine glasses and bowls in very short supply! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"Fantastic hotel! The operator George is amazing. He speaks great English and was incredibly accommodating. We arrived very early and he was able to get our room ready as quickly as possible. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is right in the centre and on the Camino trail. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Caldas de Reis. "

"This hotel was a good stop along the Camino because it is self contained. It has 2 restaurants which are quite good and lots of lounge area for the guests. Our room came with breakfast which we liked because it had a good variety of choices. It was quiet at night and we would definitely stop there again if in the area even if luxurious it is not!"

"The pension as a whole is fine, separate bathrooms, the cleanliness etc is fine. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and a minor thing the coffee machine did not work. I had to contact the manager to see if my traveling companion was ok as she was not responding to my knocks on the door and the manager did not see any urgency even though the plans we had made were broken and I did not know where she was, she eventually turned up, but the manager did not."
