Placed between the sea and the countryside, in “Val das Hortas”, this 1 hectare property was redesigned for tourism in 1995 and restored in 2008 adding a new swimming-pool. Nowadays, it offers you comfort (satellite TV, Internet WiFi, air conditioning, swimming-pool), privacy (fencing and all type of vegetation), and tradition (chicken coop where you can collect fresh eggs everyday and recycle organic rests). Among the orange trees, the villa holds a 2000 square meter garden with lawns, rock garden, palm trees, bougainvilleas, pine trees and cedar, the ideal place to relax. You can also use one of the bicycles for sightseeing or light shopping.
The Monchique Thermal complex and SPA, 20 Km towards north, allows you to profit from massage and a lot more (http://www.monchiquetermas.com/hotel-overview.html).
It is worth a visit to home local restaurants (and picturesque taverns) to enjoy the pleasures of the algarvian cuisine.

Fantastic holiday
The property is beautiful. We had the most amazing time here. The property is very spacious and extremely well equipped. We stayed as a family of 6 adults and 5 children ages ranging from 1 year old to 13 years old with lots of space for everyone. Extremely friendly, helpful and attentive host. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely location. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic villa
Amazing villa located in a great place The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable and gave us some great tips etc The villa was very clean and easily slept nine of us and room for more Plenty of fridge space which is always a bonus as some villas only have one small fridge Will definitely be booking again Thanks jaime

This was a lovely property with more than enough room for 8 adults and 5 children (including 2 toddlers and 3 babies). We loved using the outdoor space and picking fresh fruit each day to eat. Not an issue at all but I would note that the smaller pool is only heated in the winter. Thanks again for having us Jaime.

Beautiful House!
The house is very big and so much room. We also liked the house outside and the pool was really nice. Unfortunately, there was no household utensils such as toilet paper, waste bag or soap available and had to buy this ourselves. We also had problems with hot water. However, the host was very friendly and always available to help.

Fantastic villa, wonderful stay
Our family holiday of 5 adults, 2 teens, 2 11 yr olds and 2 8 yr olds was made special by staying in this fabulous place. The accommodation was exactly as described and all the rooms were a great size. So relieved the a/c was there as weather extra hot for a couple of days. The teenagers loved being able to get away from the younger ones at times and have their own space. The pool was a winner for all ages. The gardens are very pretty with plenty of space to spread out. Children disappointed the fox got to the chickens before we got there! They did go looking for them as soon as we arrived! Thankyou for a great stay.

Amazing property for family/friends vacations!
We were traveling with 6 kids aged 3 to 12 and we loved our stay at this property, besides all the space inside with all the rooms needed for 12 people, there is also the amazing outside space :) There is the pool: a big one and smaller one for the small kids, all surrounded by real grass and trees and with pool beds. There is a stream neighborhooring the property near the pool, and you can hear the frogs! There are fruit trees towards the front of the house and a chicken hen: you can feed the chickens while you are there! That part of the property is like a farm, and there is a lot to explore around the trees. Next to the house, just outside the kitchen door there are tables and chairs enough for 12 + people. Plus another table under shade that can sit 8-10 px. Inside you have everything you need, plus small, useful and kwerky items that you can only get in a property managed by the owner. The owner, Jaime, is super nice, very helpful and friendly. We needed another remote for the gate and Jaime managed to the deliver one on the same day. The cars have shaded parking, enough for 3-4 cars. We slept very well, and there was really nothing we thought was missing! We had an amazing week with our extended family and we hope to come back again soon!

Maison forte agréable
Grande maison bien agencée permettant de vivre dehors ou à l’intérieur. Les points forts : - 6 chambres avec salle de bain individuelle, - Piscine très agreable - Environnement nature (orangers, marre à grenouilles (coassement non gênant), chats), - Emplacement (sous réserve d’avoir un véhicule), - Conseils de Jaime, fort sympathique, - Accès Internet performant. Points faibles : - Pas d’accès facile à l’extérieur de la propriété sans véhicule (toutefois la route est suffisamment éloignée pour ne pas être sensiblement gênante phonétiquement), - Présence des chats (à l’extérieur uniquement) pour ceux qui sont allergiques (ce n’était pas notre cas), Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour (après jours) dans cette résidence.

Perfekt für große Familien
Wir haben hier mit 7 Erwachsenen und 5 Kindern (2 bis 13 Jahre) eine tolle, erholsamen Zeit verbracht. Das Haus ist groß, jedes Schlafzimmer hat ein eigenes Bad mit Toilette. Das Geländ hat einen rießigen Obstgarten, wir konnten täglich frische Orangen und Zitronen pflücken und haben jeden Morgen frisch gepressten Orangensaft genossen. Die Bäume duften herrlich. Das Gelände ist komplett umzäunt, so dass wir die Kinder bedenkenlos rum tigern lassen konnten. Der Pool ist groß genug um kleine Bahnen zu schwimmen, der kleine Pool war für die kleineren Kinder perfekt. Auch der Grillplatz ist toll, wir haben fast täglich frischen Fisch vom Markt gegrillt, eine Grundausstattung an Gewürzen ist auch bereits vorhanden. Vom Haus aus ist alles innerhalb kürzerer Fahrzeiten erreichbar, Märkte, Restaurants, Strände, Städte, Erlebnisbad, Zoo ... . Der Vermieter war über WhatsApp erreichbar und hat uns mit tollen Restaurant-Empfehlungen und weiteren tollen Tipps versorgt. Es war ein sehr netter, unkomplizierter Kontakt. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Super séjour
Jaime est vraiment une personne très sympathique et très disponible la propriété est grande les chambres sont très bien réparties salle de bains au nombre parfait piscine suffisante nous n avons pas pu cependant profiter des vélos qui étaient à plat mais les enfants avaient leur propre vélo qu ils ont pu faire autour de la propriété on a bien profité des poules et des oeufs c était sympa pour les enfants je remercie jaime de sa gentillesse et des réponses qu il m a donné avant le séjour très réactif nous avons apprécié encore merci

Una vivienda amplia y bien equipada.
Hemos estado un grupo de 12 personas (tres familias con dos niños cada una). La estancia ha estado genial, la vivienda es práctica, cómoda y bonita. Los 6 dormitorios disponen todos de baño privado, armarios y A/A. La cocina y el salón eran confortables y amplios. El exterior muy agradable también, con grandes mesas y muchas sillas. Otra cosa a destacar es la cercanía a las playas y supermercados.

Confort et accueil chaleureux pour un groupe de familles
Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable à la villa des orangers. Idéale pour les familles et les enfants qui se sont beaucoup amusés à la piscine et dans le jardin. La plage et la ville d'Alvor sont à quelques minutes en voiture.

Trés Bonne Séjour, la piscine est excepcionelle avec Le jacuzzi.
La proprieté est trés grande. Nous étions 12 adultes et c'est aussi grande por être confortable. Jaime est trés amable et eficace quand on a eu aucun petit problème. Por meliorer, Le premie jour on a manqué de papier dans Le toilet. Il faut être very attentive à l'entrée de la proprieté par Le traffique même avec Le mirroir à la route. Je recomende la proprieté pour un grand groupe, même avec enfants parce qu'il y a beaucoup de conveniennces pour eux.

nous venons de rentrer de 15 jours au Portugal dans la maison de Monsieur Jaime Costa notre séjour a été au delà de nos espérances Le propriétaire est super sympa, très à l'écoute de ses locataires, lorsque nous faisons appel à lui il répond présent plus que rapidement la maison est vraiment très belle et surtout très très bien équipée, encore plus jolie que sur les photos, chaque chambre possède sa salle de bains, nous qui louons souvent avec des amis trouvons rarement ce genre de prestations nous avons pu profiter des oranges, des citrons pour confectionner de très bons Mojitos par contre les poules que nous avons pourtant bien nourries n'ont pas été très généreuses en œufs lors de votre séjour surtout faites appel à Victor (le proprietaire pourra vous donner ses coordonnées) pour vos balades et vos transferts en voiture il faut environ 10 minutes pour se rendre à la plage par contre pour vos achats rendez vous au magasin Portugais d'Alvor qui est à 5 minutes de la maison en voiture, vous y trouverez tous les produits pour régaler vos papilles. Pour résumer FAITES VOUS PLAISIR ET LOUEZ LA MAISON DE MR JAIME COSTA

Groots, ruim, luxe!
We hebben heel erg genoten in dit ronduit geweldige huis! Op de fotos is het al netjes maar in de realiteit is het huis vele malen beter. We waren met 6 volwassenen en 3 kleine kids. Binnen: Het huis is ruim opgezet met 3 slaapkamers beneden en 3 kamers boven. Allemaal met n ensuite badkamer en airco. Voldoende kast en opslagruimte. De keuken is ook lekker groot en van alle gemakken voorzien. Oven, magnetron, koffiezetapparaat. Veel pannen, bakken, snijbladen en messen. Dat is bij sommige huurhuizen wel eens anders... Ruime koelkast met viezer. Tevens binnen een eet- en woonkamer waar een tv met dvd speler staat. Buiten: Er is een ruime oprijlaan met afgesloten toegangshek. Voldoende parkeerplaatsen waarvan deels overdekt. Een ruime tuin met veel verschillende plekken waar je even rustig alleen kan zitten. Veel groen en goed onderhouden. Bij de parkeerplaatsen en oprijlaan staan een aantal vijgen-, citroen- en sinaasappelbomen waar je van kan plukken. Eieren rapen bij de kippen kan ook. Het zwembad is heerlijk! En direkt ernaast ligt een verwarmde jacuzzi! Ruim voldoende goede ligstoelen en kussens. De buitenkeuken is ronduit geweldig! Normaliter heb je een BBQ met een wastafel ernaast en daar moet je het dan mee doen. Hier heb je dat ook maar ook een grote overdekte keuken erbij. Voldoende meters werkblad en een 4 pits gasfornuis en oven. In hetzelfde overdekte deel heb je voldoende plek om in de schaduw te eten. Dat heb je tijdens het ontbijten zeker wel nodig! Vanuit het overdekte stuk is er goed zicht op het grote plein waar de kinderen voldoende ruimte hebben om te spelen. Het huis bezit ook nog over gratis wifi en een mooi dakterras met een aantal tafeltjes en stoeltjes. Omgeving: Als je links afslaat vanuit de oprijlaan ben je binnen 10 minuten op het brede zandstrand van Alvor. Ga je rechtsaf ben je binnen n kwartiertje in Portimao met 3 verschillende supermarkten. De intermarche (slecht), de continente (redelijk) en in centro commercial Aqua Portimao heb je een Jumbo. En dat is een topsupermarkt in een top winkelcentrum. Dus doe jezelf een plezier en rijdt die 2 minuutjes verder. Al jaren boeken we via diverse instanties dit soort vakantiehuizen. Soms iets minder soms iets beter. Maar dit huis was een toppertje. Absolute aanrader dus!

Everyone enjoyed this place! Every morning they fed the chicken. Also picked oranges of the trees for a nice fresh orange juice. Do you need more :-). All 6 bedrooms were uniquely decorated and all had their own bathroom, very pleasant. The owner is a friendly man, whom you can call if something’s wrong. In all, a lovely villa in a beautiful surrounding with a good price/quality ratio. We absolutely recommend this villa!

Magnifique maison
Nous avons passé une semaine fin octobre. La maison est idéale pour deux familles avec enfants, chaque chambre disposant de sa salle de bains. L'océan n'est qu'a 10minutes avec de superbes décors. La baignade est encore possible en octobre (piscine et océan). L'autoroute traversant l'Algarve est toute proche mais on ne l'entend pas. Joachim le propriétaire est aux petits soins et nous a prodigué de nombreux conseils. Nous recommandons vivement cette maison !
