"The cottage is cozy but it is a bit more run down than the photos show. When we got there there was mouse droppings everywhere, over all the cutlery, stove, piles in the living room couch and carpet…way more than seemed possible if the places had been cleaned in the last 5 days (we cleaned it all when we arrived and didn’t see any new droppings over the next 2 days). "A lovely cottage and a super spot. The house has amazing views over the lake for bedrooms and living spaces. A great seating area with fire pit close to the shore was well used and we managed to explore the lake in the canoes provided in the garage. There are no children’s buoyancy aids so best bring your own to avoid some upset little ones. "

"Amy was wonderful host and ambassador for the Port Carling/Muskoka area making some great suggestions as to sights to see. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable and the hot tub was a bonus!. Any hicups we had were quickly addressed and corrected. One of the best features was sitting on the large dock with a refreshment in hand and watching the antique boats cruising by, all in all a great location for a relaxing holiday, thank you Amy, "

"Lovely spot. Just surprised that there were no cups, no paper towels or tea towels. No amenities whatsoever. We brought our own coffee maker but could not enjoy a morning coffee. Would love to come back but if you’re traveling you need to bring your own dishes. Weird "

"Stephanie has put together a good cottage right on the lake. It’s a beautiful, calm setting with a well done cottage. Ideal for a couple or a family looking for a quiet vacation with some water activities. Just as a constructive feedback, the kitchen could be better stocked. Will visit again for sure!!!"
