"We arrived during a power outage. It wasn’t looking good for this trip. Reach out to the owners and they got back to me very quickly. We went into town to get some groceries in the meanwhile. When we got back, the trip was officially on. We really liked the look of the cabin. It was kind of secluded which we liked and it wasn’t too hard to find. "We had a great time at the cabin! It was the perfect escape from the city. The view was gorgeous, and the cabin had everything we needed. We also tried to use the canoe but the padlock is stuck, it might be rusted/need to be replaced. Otherwise everything was perfect!"

"Amazing cabin that was perfect to relax in by the wood stove and look out at the snowy woods. Had all the modern amenities we needed and a well-stocked kitchen. Be careful with the driveway if coming in the winter. We were here during a snowstorm that turned to slush and then ice. The plow did come for the driveway but it still left a layer of ice that we needed a couple tries to get out of in our 4X4 SUV. It also was very slippery walking to the house. "Amazing location on a completely private small lake just a few minutes off the Taconic Parkway. Host is very helpful, and very artistic. Sleeping on a pull out couch was initially off-putting, but it is very high quality and fairly comfortable, and works for the space. So many birds to see and hear! Nice hiking trails on the large property, which has adjacent preserved land. "

"The keypad at the door is slightly confusing (but probably mostly b/c I rarely interact with these) but beyond that this was an easy, clean, comfortable rental. "

"The heat was unbearable. The description did not indicate that there were no AC units at least in the bedrooms. We ended up leaving on Saturday afternoon because we could not spend a 2nd night not being able to sleep because of the high temperature."

"Me and my fiance had just an amazing time. The owners were great with communication and helped with getting fire wood for the pit out back. The view and seclusion was everything we wanted. The local towns have plenty to eat and do in the area. No Ubers or lyfts in the area so keep that in mind when going out at night. I can't recommend this place more. They even left slippers at the door."

"This beautiful cabin in the woods blends warm and cozy with unique and interesting just enough to make sure you remember you are on vacation. The pictures do not do it justice. The owner has done a great job labeling swiches, etc. so that you can settle in right away. She warns about the need to adjust the water temperature because the hot water is very hot. Heed the warning. You will find everything you need is accessible in this home. We will be returning."
