"The reception was difficult to find with poor signage and the front wentrance is not the entrance. The carpark is fairly well lit once you know where to go and the condition of the second building / actual hotel was in a reasonable condition. Check-in was straightforward with lifts up to the room. On arraval at the room we were greated with a hot room unfortunately the air conditioning did not work and windows are fixed closed (sign says use air-conditioning to regulate heat). The room was clean and in good condition although the tv didn’t work and the hair dryer and kettle PAT testing was 8 months out of date. Reception was unable to fix the tv although did manage to get wifi connected but couldn't access all online services like iplayer. Lots of noise through thin walls from noisy guests who were loud and swearing late in the evening, although can't blame the hotel for the actions of other guests. All above being said for £26 for the night whatit was only the excessive heat and noisy guests that really caused the biggest issue. Unfortunately I would not stay again unless the facilities ate fixed / updated to an acceptable standard. "

"Great B&B, very nice place, lovely big house. Key code access, so I didn't meet with anyone which is slways a shame. Could do with a radio in the breakfast room is all i could fault. Will be back to try a different themed room.. great place.."

"I have been staying here for the past 4 years, I used to stay in bigger hotels in the city. This is perfect great hospitality and comfort. The food is fantastic and all at a reasonable price. Even brought family for a holiday. "

"First time staying at New Inn, even though we have attended many events and meals over 40 years. Not disappointed. Check in fast and friendly. Room, cosy, clean and very comfortable. Staying at Hotel as we were attending an event. Food was excellent, very tasty with large helpings. Staff all very efficient, friendly and helpful. Free parking around the side of Hotel. "

"A friendly, welcoming lady greeted me on arrival and explained everything simply and professionally. The room was warm, comfortable and most adequate for one night at the hotel. Very comfy bed. The teas and coffees were well stocked with my favourite Clipper coffee - tremendous attention to detail, imo. The bar restaurant has an open fire which was continually stocked as it was snow and sleet outside. In the evening, the food, service, and value was nothing short of excellent. Breakfast was very good too. The lady who served me was helpful and polite. The decor isn't overly Scottish like a lot of Scottish hotels. Just enough tartan without feeling like your trapped inside a Bay City Rollers reunion concert. Clearly, a well established hotel which is worth the visit."

"Been here now for 6 years over Christmas and new year. We love the peace and quiet and access to lovely walks with the dog. The house is ideal for those wanting to get away from it all and is equipped with everything you need. Although remote, Ellon is only 10 mins drive and Aberdeen just 30 mins so perfect if you want to get out. Highly recommended"
