"My partner, friends and I loved our stay at the batch. It has everything you need for an awesome kiwi summer. Lots of chairs, tables, gazebo, bbq, outdoor sink, games, HDMI for tv and all kitchen amenities. We had heaps of fun at the batch and going on daily excursions around the area. Greg was a kind and responsive host. Highly recommend this place for its affordability, amenities, set up and location! Would love to come back with family or friends one day. Thanks Greg!"

"We were impressed by the cleanliness of the cottage. On arrival we discovered tomatoes ripening on the window sill, scrummy fresh bread, a fruit bowl full of fruit, a selection of cereals, butter, jam, milk - to name a few. This is a wonderful place to escape to. It is quiet and peaceful, with huge views over the river and beyond.The only downside was no TV and no doors on the bedrooms, but that didn't worry us, and the reasonable price took this into consideration. Good wifi...

"We had a 2 night stay here and it was absolutely amazing. While the main reason was for work, it was a delight being able to enoy some golf in the evening. We thought we were going to need to change our dates due a last minute issue with work and Mark was very helpful and made contact right away. In the end we still went ahead as planned. "The Roost is a cozy and lovely property located high in the hills above Tutukaka.It’s a beautiful and peaceful location but those unfamiliar with the terrain should know that it’s a good 20 minute drive to any amenities. It didn’t bother us because we knew the area, and it shouldn’t deter you from staying as long as you prepare in advance with whatever supplies you may need. We had a great stay for 4 nights!"
