"It is a little difficult to find the sign on the street with the name Metropolis on It but it is part of the charm of this romantic, enigmatic little hotel tucked away in a regular building like a speakeasy bar during the US Prohibition . The hotel is beautiful and quaint with a touch of nostalgic artistry that makes you feel in a by gone world. The staff is exceptionally friendly too, personable and both persons I met went out of their way to make sure all my needs and requests were met."

"Our stay started with the receptionist saying I needed to pay again even though the booking was prepaid. Eventually after contacting hotels.com this was resolved but he walked away from me and refused to deal with the issue until the morning. Additionally, the bathroom was infested with wasps and although there were others to use and it was eventually resolved, it wasn't ideal. The room felt comfortable and spacious but the plugs were a little temperamental and there was no air conditioning....

"This is the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. NO hot water, NO wifi, the place was absolutely filthy dirty, smelly. There was no towels provided to begin with. The picture and description of this place is nothing like what it is in real life. NO toilet paper. There was groups of men in and out everyday downstairs. Couldn't even have a shower ...no hot water. We had to leave the place... it was making us sick. PLEASE DONT STAY HERE"
