"Honestly cannot fault The Pier House. We stayed for one night for a couples getaway and from check in to check out we were so impressed! The lady who checked us in (I’m gutted we didn’t get her name!) was so friendly, explained everything and showed us to our room. "What great place to stay - on the Sunny side of the bay. Everyone is so friendly and the staff are exceptionally helpful. With the ferry at your doorstep who needs a car. Left ours at the car park at the top of the village and had an amazing scenic walk down to The Lugger Inn. "

"Parking was limited to 3 narrow spaces at the rear of the guesthouse but there is the option of residents parking in a nearby street (we were given a residents parking permit). We were in an en-suite room in the basement, with use of the fridge and microwave in the basement kitchen area which was useful. There were a couple of cobwebs in the corners of the room but the shower, toilet, sink and bed were spotless. Breakfast was great, with a varied menu. The dining room was clean and welcoming....

"I could not praise the staff here more, despite my room not being available till lunch that day, they were more than happy for me to come down earlier to pick up my room key and drop off my bags before a day at university. Not only were the staff welcoming and the hospitality warm and comforting, the staff often went above and beyond to help, and were happy to engage in conversation.
