"We were lucky enough to stay here for five nights. Each morning we woke up to fog rolling through the vineyard that slowly revealed the amazing views through out the day. The home was as pictured, well appointed with items we needed for cooking and relaxing. Everything was quite comfortable. Michael and Diana were both so pleasant and communicative through the entire process. Dreaming of a return trip in the warmer months to make use of the beautiful pool!"

"The villa is situated in a country location with a lovely garden and pool looking over the surrounding countryside. The layout is a bit quirky with some interconnecting bedrooms but it worked well for our party of five couples and we all had our own bathroom. "We enjoyed our stay at the villa. The rooms were comfortable, the amenities (pool, outdoor pizza oven) enhanced the overall experience of exploring the region. It’s well situated for terrific bike trips to various smaller wine towns. The town center is a five minute car drive with great markets for all things food and drink. Restaurants in town are also very good. I would highly recommend this property. It housed five couples very comfortably."

"We had a great stay in August. It was very hot so the air con throughout the property was most welcome. The property is well appointed and had all we needed. The pool was ideal for a cooling splash and lots of play with my daughter while her mum enjoyed the sun bathing. Alba is a very nice town with plenty of places to eat and discover the local produce and provided a great base to explore the area. "Siamo stati in questo meraviglioso casale/villa durante le feste Natalizie. Le camere una piu' bella dell'altra, letti comodi e ampi bagni. Le zone comuni accoglienti e spaziose! La cucina completa di tutto. La vista dalla casa è stupenda. Ringraziamo ancora i proprietari molto disponibili. Abbiamo avuto un problema con il riscaldamento all'arrivo che hanno provveduto subito a sistemare."

"Big house in a large attractive garden with a pool. Responsive and friendly staff. But in an industrial zone surrounded by warehouses and by a busy noisy road. Four bedrooms but only upstairs has air conditioning, the three downstairs and living area are not air conditioned. Cooling with evening air limited due to abundant mosquitos. Supposedly can take 9 people, but only very few cups, glasses and no mugs, no frying pan. Two coffee machines but no coffee, barbecue but no charcoal. At this price...

"As in all prior reviews, a "10" from us. The house is a modern design, fully equipped, with great view over old Alba. We didn't use the pool, but it is large and always clean. Easy walk into Centro; we also found parking when we drove into town. Best part was our host. Always accessible. As an example. we had a problem with our car one day, and he volunteered to go with us to a mechanic and help us out. We've stayed in a number of VRBO's. This was at the top. Highly recommended. "

"Our group of 6 adults stayed at the villa for 5 days while exploring the surrounding wine region and relaxing after a wedding. The villa was amazing. There was plenty of space for all guests, comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen and perfectly manicured lawn and pool area. Marco, Lonela and Christian were great to work with and so friendly, especially through our language barriers. "It was a pleasure to stay in Villa Barbara. Everything was clean and place was quiet and looked like brand new. Special kudos to all of the complimentary food - cake, eggs, milk, wine, water, bread, cheese, salami, hazel nuts - everything we needed for the breakfast for couple of days. Enjoyed the mosquito free dining area in the garden with BBQ grill. "
