"We had never visited Alameda before and were thankful to find a lovely spot to explore the area. If the weather had cooperated we would have enjoyed the lovely outdoor spaces at the cottage. The cottage itself was great for 2 adults (the bathroom was accessed through the bedroom). The kitchen is large and updated. The living room is also large, but could use more comfortable seating. "

I had booked 2 months in advance (and paid) but got notice 3 hours before checking in ( was in a plane heading there) that “sorry” but could not take me that they would honor a cancellation like they were doing me a favor. They basically told me I could not stay and it was their fault it was double booked. I had to rebook at a hotel at double price because it was a busy weekend. VRBO sucked in helping. Beware. "We were in West Oakland for a few days to get my adult daughter settled into her new apartment and job. This space was just what we needed as a place to rest and relax in between work, and we had everything we needed to cook light meals and make coffee. It was clean and the beds were comfy. The designated parking did not work for my Ford Flex, but street parking was simple enough. A smaller vehicle would work though. It was an easy drive to get everywhere we needed to be."
