First, set your expectations on sound.... This apartment is right on the beach and right on the main avenue. "I booked this property because of the ability to cook for my niece. Unfortunately, although the host was responsive and sent a technician, the electric kitchenette didn't work, I was able to cook only once! This was very frustrating and inconvenient, considering this was the main reason for this booking. "

"Despite the poor reviews about communication with managers, we actually got into our place right at 3:00. It might have been a challenge if we hadn’t been right there waiting. It was a quaint and comfortable place, that seemed to have an interesting history. Very close to main plaza. Kitchen had the basics. It would have been nice to have 5 gallons of filtered water available and at least one kitchen towel. Overall a comfortable stay."

"Clean and very convenient hotel, right on the Playa Norte malecón. Wonderful, helpful staff. Note that there is a lot of traffic and banda noise; you get used to it after a few days. This is typical of Mexican holiday destinations - bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Great place, but the rooms are definitely not soundproof!"

"First, this is NOT a hotel. It's a small apartment building with not staff on site. Apartment was filthy. Don't look atop the headboard in the bedroom! Not sure what all the stains on the couch were. Don't open the cabinet above the sink, it'll fall on your head. Need to fill a pot with water? Turn on the faucet and then go for an hour long walk. The shower drain is so slow that you'll end up taking a bath. That's enough for now, it's bringing back bad memories...but i could go on. You've been warned."

"While at the hotel the fob programmer for the keys broke down. We were not provided a key for the room until the last 12 hours of our stay. We had the security guard open the room for us every time (he was nice). When you check in the request you wear a bracelet. There is no other reason other than access to the hotel for the bracelet. No other service provided with it. One of the receptionists was really nice, she tried to make our stay more pleasant even with the downfalls. We had to disconnect the TV to be able charge our phones. The outlets did not work. The small refrigerator did not work also. The room was serviced daily that was nice. "

Hermoso departamento moderno a 50 pasos de la playa!

"The refrigerator/freezer did not work properly and the stove wasn't working properly either. Obviously whomever cleaned the unit before our arrival did not check this. The host did send someone to fix the fridge. The listing showed a washing machine and this was in a locked closet and not accessible. When we complained, the host changed the listing to remove it but it was in the listing when we booked it. The listing also fails to mention that the pool and hot tub are only accessible until 9 pm. The building is in a good, safe location but we were very disappointed that the listing was very misleading and the appliances not working. Overall we would not recommend."

"I enjoyed the afternoon sun on the balcony. The condo was just across the street from the Pacific Ocean and the walkway that goes for miles. On the 15th floor you have some space from the vibrant street life to relax."

"The apartment is in a useful location, only 2 blocks from the beach and near to restaurants, atm, convenience store, and a pharmacy. Convenient and safe. It has an elevator and electronic door locks that take a moment to figure out how to get the keypad to display. Self parking was easy. We had no problems with theft. There is construction going on nearby (as is everywhere) but was of no impact. The property is located between 2 event centres (La Ferro Jardín & Atlantis Event Centre) which had loud music until about 1am on three nights. The room #9 was not furnished as pictured. The kitchen has wood cabinets, there is no chandelier, no coffee tables, no art work. The paint was peeling on the walls by the windows, and it was not very clean. There was a problem 2 days with the water pump so there was no tap water or ability to flush the toilet each time. It was promptly fixed each time (within 4 hours). The #9 had a shower hot water tap valve broken, so we shut the master valve off to the hot water tank in order to shut the shower off. We had to prove that we had 2 adults booked to get the second bed’s linen. There was no hairdryer, nor was one provided when asked. Gabriela (property manager) was polite and responsive. The rooftop patio has a charcoal grill (you buy your own). There are not any tables, chairs, nor any loungers for resting on the roof patio. Handy location but noisy. "

"Great location 1 block from melecon and beach. New condo, spacious with all amenities. Really close to many beach restaurants and bars for food and fun and music and swimming and views. Rooftop pool deck is gorgeous with great views north of malecón and all the fun buildings. Really comfortable beds and couch. Big kitchen and dining areas. Really large showers with good water pressure."
