Porto Playa was awarded the Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor several years. Featuring a tropical architectural influence with 21 luxury units, Porto Playa is set in an oasis reminiscent of a rain forest. It has a very airy and open design inside a private sanctuary with lush tropical plants and flowers and gushing waterfalls. There is even a sun-drenched roof-top swimming pool the length of a city block and a second pool with two separate Jacuzzis.

Condo 219 is on the 2nd floor overlooking the gardens and pools.

Guests at any of our properties are welcome at Asi Beach Club, located at El Taj Ocean, have complimentary use of The Gym located at Porto Playa, complimentary Wi-Fi, daily maid service, discounts at 3 restaurants and more.

Porto Playa is located at the corner of First Ave and Calle 16. 100 steps from the beach.

Porto Playa is a boutique condo hotel with 21 condos with numerous amenities including maid service, complimentary use of The Gym, (located in Porto Playa), concierge service, restaurants, beach club, spa and more. Porto Playa has one of the best pools in Playa del Carmen: an upper and lower 70 foot long pool with waterfalls from the upper pool to the lower pool. Each level has a jacuzzi.

Unit 219 is one of the largest 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo's on the more desirable second floor with large, private balcony with tables and chairs for your enjoyment. Have coffee in the morning on the balcony overlooking the pools. Great Gulf Breeze and a glimpse of the Gulf Waters. Flat screen Televisions in living room and both bedrooms, large bathrooms have glassed in showers for two. Marble floors and counter tops.

Master bedroom has pillow-top, king-sized bed, and french doors that open to a private balcony. 2nd bedroom can be set up as twin beds or pillow-top, king sized bed.

Wonderful Stay!
Our family of four visited during Spring Break and had a wonderful time at the condo. The location was very convenient because it was walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. Our two teenagers loved the pool, the workout facility, and the local bakery next door. Every morning they worked out and went to the bakery for some of the best food we had during our stay. Our condo was also clean, and the amenities were top notch. We hope to back again someday.

This property is awesome! The location is close to restaurants, shops and walk to 5th Ave. Its is beautiful and very clean. The pools were nice. Even though it was close to town Its was quiet at night. Great place to stay.

Easy, breezy wonderful stay
Our stay at Porto Playa and Laura’s spot was exactly as pictured. Easy to check in, great communication with our hosts, the concierge service was wonderful for scheduling our Covid test prior to departure. The whole process was so smooth and made our vacation relaxing and pleasant. The spot was perfect and great location, close to everything but just far enough away from the noisy bars. Will absolutely rebook this spot for future trips!

Comfortable and beautiful stay
Porto Playa was a home away from home with modern and conventional amenities. I loved the natural elements in spaces especially the bathrooms. The location was incredible for walking the beach and exploring the best of Playa Del Carmen. It was nestled in a cute area with trees, tropical plants, passerbys, ocean breezes, and sounds of birds. The Gym was a great amenity that we used as well as the spa treatments. I even did my own daily yoga practice on the rooftop terrace! Gustavo and the crew were very helpful and friendly, and they let me see a couple of spaces so that I could choose the one I resonated with. I highly recommend staying here!

A fantastic condo w/ wonderful owners!
Staying at this property was like taking our very own comfy home to a new beautiful location. Actually, that's not exactly the truth: for us New York City dwellers, staying here was definitely an upgrade in housing since or vacation home was more spacious, modern, well maintained, and all-around more comfortable than our NYC home ever could be! Add to that daily housekeeping, delicious breakfasts, amazingly nice and KIND employees, and best of all, a breathtaking setting and scenery... definitely an upgrade on "home sweet home." We could not recommend this condo any more strongly! (Other condos in the property could possibly be just as nice, but corresponding with the owners of this specific condo also was a pleasantly easy and stress free experience.)

Loved Porto Playa
Beautiful place, nicely furnished with comfy beds. This condo complex os great for young people. The unit was modern and in excellent condition. The salt water pool is the best I've ever been in! The music from the restaurant across the street is upbeat, but constant. I especially loved it when they had live entertainment on the weekends. Inside the unit it was pretty quiet though. The gym is in the level below, and is convenient if you're wanting to stay in shape, but the loud instructor's mics coming up from the aerobics classes are annoying in the evening. Mm Another thing to consider is the number of steps to climb.c No elevator! I do not recommend staying here if you have mobility issues.

Great place to relax; right in central Playa
This was our first time to this area of Mexico and Playa del Carmen. This condo was a great location to explore the city and area, but still have a quieter oasis to return to each night. Pros: location on a quiet corner, one block away from Quinta Avenida(busy tourist area), LOTS of food choices nearby and walkable. Unit has comfortable beds, wonderful showers!!-water pressure superb! Views from living area out patio is of tops of palm trees so you feel very private and it’s restful. The pool/waterfall provides a background sound of water that covers traffic noise and adds to the resort feeling of the property. The front desk people and security guard at front gate were all friendly and helpful. Unit was clean and housekeeping did a wonderful job. We didn’t have time to use The Gym(complimentary and next door) but would be excellent if you wanted to keep your daily workout. They had lots of classes too-and it looked very modern and clean from the outside. The Condo’s pools and spas were clean and refreshing. Communication with Laura was quick/helpful! Cons: these are things that are not necessarily negatives, but may be helpful to know. The property has an open courtyard with an underground area that The Gym uses for classes. They have classes at 8 am and have evening classes at 8 pm. We closed our doors 😉. . Also, It is handwashing dishes in kitchen, not a dishwasher. We never did find English language TV channels, but that’s not what we were there for😊!

It was so nice the grounds were just beautiful and well looked after our ground floor condo was perfect so many around our deck it is not the condo owners fault but the beach was not the best a lot of sea weed in the ocean we couldn’t swim in it and all the fishing boats don’t help sitting along the beach but the staff at the beach club was top notch and service in real we were treated so well the only thing we found that people would put towels on chairs and never use them all day so when people came looking for chairs there was not should be a policy on that if you are going to be gone for a hour or so getting something to eat or a massage the staff should be told so they know you are coming back shortly if not they should be able to remove your towels and give your chairs to someone else I felt they did everything to accommodate my daughter and I the food was also good we had a lot of lunches there thanks everyone for making our holiday so wonderful

Very Pleased with our Stay
We had a great trip, we were pleased with the condo. Exactly as described. The location was fantastic, close to everything, easily within walking distance to what we needed. Everyone associated with the condo were extremely helpful. No complaints, will stay there again.

I don’t usually write reviews, especially negative ones. But we’ve been to PDC 3 times in the last 10 years and I can honestly say that our stay at Porto Playa was our least favorite place. We traveled as a married couple, a 10 year old and a 24 year old. All of our disappointments were the same, so I felt compelled to share our experience. I can see why the location of the property would be good for some people, but for us it was loud at night due to the night scene and difficult to sleep. I know this couldn’t be helped, but the people above us were dragging around furniture at night (almost every night!) so we finally downloaded a white noise app and played it on full blast to help drown out the night club music and noisy neighbors. In the early mornings, a Zumba class was taking place in the outdoor area immediately attached to the condo’s pool area and the music and instructor coming through the speaker made it hard to enjoy morning coffee on the patio. Upon arrival, the room smelled STRONGLY of cooking meat. I think there was a restaurant below and it was piping into our room for a couple days, although that later dissipated. I was trying to work during our visit but internet was spotty at best so I gave up on my laptop and mainly worked from my cell phone burning data. The hair dryer in the master bath didn’t work, the water pressure in the showers was abysmal and the speaker for the TV in the master would crackle loudly if it was turned above a low point. Some of the staff was lovely, and while the pool and some of the outdoor areas were a little shabby the property overall was nice. Our condo was a bit shabby as well, but in the end it served our purposes. We just wouldn’t return to this location.

Perfect All Around Stay!
I went to Playa Del Carmen for a girls get away with 3 girlfriends. This was the perfect sized condo for the 4 of us. The location literally could not have been more perfect! You are walking distance to EVERYTHING! The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly, with Easy check in and check out. I would definitely stay here again!

A Playa Oasis
The complex is in the perfect location. And the pool and grounds are beautiful. It was very kid friendly. Check in was a breeze, daily maid service and loved the gym. It’s a nice combo of condo with hotel amenities. Grocery store was in walking distance and kitchen had what you needed to make meals. Overall a fantastic stay for the family. Only thing that left me wanting was the Beach Club location. The beach where it’s located is blocked by boat parking, so not swimming friendly for the kids. If you are an adult who doesn’t care about going in the water, the chairs are nice. But we had to wander about 200 yards south and find chairs to pay for.

Wonderful
The only problem is it is initially hard to find. Make sure to print off a map to hand to your driver. Besides that, beautiful, well kept, and very easy.
