My penthouse is located in Playacar Phase I which is the PREMIER location in all of Playa del Carmen as it's in a quiet, low density gated neighborhood with private million dollar estates. It's is a 12 minute walk from our complex to 5th Avenue shops/restaurants/bars and the ferry dock.

My penthouse has million-dollar views and you can throw a rock into the ocean from the balcony! This condo and complex is beachfront. You are not only renting from an owner, but a licensed travel agent!

If the idea of a small beachfront resort, a short stroll (10 min) on the beach into town to try a new restaurant and having a private driver greet you at Cancun airport with an icy cold beer waiting for you appeals to you, look no further, you can stop your search! My beachfront penthouse offers ALL of this and more:

1) 24 hour security in gated community and on the resort grounds with 2-3 times the size of beachfront as other resorts and it's BOUTIQUE, just 50 units total!!!
2) Swim up pool bar with waiters serving you around the pool (you can also BYO but no glass containers)
3) Free use of kayaks, Hobie Cats, bocce ball, bikes and volleyball, etc. See Lifeguard for arranging these activities
4) Fitness center & Spa for massage and facials
5) Infinity Pool, children's pool and warm Jacuzzi
6) WiFi available in condo, throughout the resort & pool and beach- free of charge

8) Fisherman's Village is a QUIET resort in a quiet gated community! Sure you can opt to stay 'downtown' in a newer condo or all inclusive, but don't forget to pack your ears plugs....you'll be hearing loud music, rowdy drunks, and party-goers till the wee hours of the morning.
9) On-site parking free for guests (no rental car? No problem...cabs are only $5-$6 to town)
10) Optional all inclusive plan $98/ pp per day including unlimited alcoholic drinks, 3 meals a day and snacks. Otherwise our a la carte menu prices is similar to Chili's in the USA.
11) Our gated community does not allow "vendors" on the beach at all, so you can relax knowing you won't be hassled to buy blankets, massages, jewelry, jet skiing, etc like you will get on the beaches "in town".

Fisherman's Village in the private gated community of Playacar, right next to the town of Playa del Carmen. It's perfect for two couples with a king and a split-king in the 2nd bedroom OR a family because the split king can also be two twin beds.

Fisherman's Village is a family-friendly beachfront condominium complex with just 55 units in the quiet coastal community of Playacar just a 10 minute walk to Playa del Carmen. Fisherman's Village is known to be a nice quality resort/condo complex in the entire Yucatan Peninsula for it's elegance, fine service, and resort-like amenities such as a full service restaurant, room service, swim-up pool bar, full sized pool and a children's pool, water sports, jacuzzis for the complex, air conditioned gym, Spa services such as massages and facials.

This unit has travertine flooring, slab marble counter-tops, central air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout.

The entire upper floor is the Master Suite with huge picture windows out to the Sea. The bottom level features 2nd bedroom, bath, kitchen, living, half bath and dining areas and a large balcony overlooking the pool, beach and ocean. At night you can stand on any of the units balconies and see the twinkling lights of Cozumel across the Caribbean.

Free for all guest's use at Fisherman's Village are the bicycles (please let me know if BIKES are a huge thing for you before booking), kayaks, and Hobie cats! Don't know how to sail? We have an onsiactivitiestes director that can help you! It's a fabulous place for adults and kids alike.

Playa Del Carmen is located just 50 minutes South of Cancun and offers the same powdery white sand and turquoise waters, great restaurants and shopping-- without crowds of wild Spring Break partiers and towering hotels. In fact, Playa has a building height restriction to a maximum of 3 stories!

Fisherman's Village is just a 15 minute walk along quiet cobblestone roads or the beach to the town of Playa del Carmen. Also within a short walk is the 18 hole golf course, tennis courts, the local aviary, and the ferry that takes you over to Cozumel. Most guests do not rent a car during their stay except days they wish to explore other areas of the Yucatan. If you plan on lounging on the beach, shopping and eating out in Playa del Carmen, maybe taking the ferry to Cozumel one day-- you may not want a car the entire time. We can recommend reliable airport transportation to and from Cancun International to Fisherman's Village.

This property was exactly as described. It was phenomenal waking up every morning to the ocean views and having the convenience of the the adjoining hotel if we needed it. I recently stayed at this stunning beach condo, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. From the moment we arrived, I was struck by the breathtaking ocean views and the calming sound of the waves. The condo itself was immaculate, spacious, and tastefully decorated, providing a perfect blend of comfort and style. The kitchen was well-equipped with modern appliances, making it easy to prepare meals. The living area was cozy and inviting, with large windows that allowed for plenty of natural light. Lovely location in a peaceful and secure neighborhood. The space was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The staff was absolutely fantastic and just a pleasure to be around. Pamela has really thought of everything from the taxi service from the airport to include a stop at the grocery store to the included bottled water delivered right to the condo as needed. The view from the condo is absolutely stunning. This place is a gem and we will definitely be back!!

Fantastic Condo-Highly recommend!
This condo is exactly as shown and described, a beautiful, modern and updated space and very comfortable. Pamela is a fantastic hostess--so responsive and we greatly appreciated all her help in planning our trip as we were not familiar with the area. Her manager and cleaner were awesome. We paid for the mid-week clean and it was so worth it--Gabby did such a good job, down to folding our clothes and organizing our charging cords! We hired Gabriel to take us on an excursion and were delighted to find he was an Omaha boy like us--the trip was great and cost significantly less than if we had booked it online. He took us to a little-known cenote which we basically had to ourselves and to swim with turtles in Akumal (that part I would skip in the future--pricey, we only saw 2 turtles and I got very sea sick). At the end of the trip he introduced us to birria at a little hole in the wall local place that he loved and was SO good--we would have never found or thought to try that on our own. He also responded promptly to any texts/questions we had. We walked over to 5th Ave most days and tried several restaurants on Pamela's list--they were all great. The only one we didn't like was the resort restaurant--just not our style. The snack bar was great-wish it was open for dinner. Highly recommend this VRBO! Taxis are more expensive that expected (start at $25 US for a short ride for 5 people) so if you are comfortable, rent a car to save $.

Great time in Playa Del Carmen
We enjoyed the ocean front condo and are hoping to come back soon. The master bedroom is spacious and is upstairs. Our daughter had a spacious bedroom on the main level. Gabe was the property manager and helped us with water and excursions. There were 2.5 bathrooms which was nice as well. The resort is not crowded at all, as resorts down the beach were packed. Beach chairs were super comfy and we had lunch everyday at El Pescador, the beach side restaurant. We ate at restaurants that were recommended and they were all fantastic. No complaints! The only thing that needed attention were the windows overlooking the beach. They really could use a cleaning. Other than that, we loved the Fisherman’s resort and totally felt safe the whole time as it is a gated community.

Great Condo, Great Trip!
First of all the condo was clean, comfortable, and OMG the veiws of the ocean and pool area were fantastic! I've been to this resort before and always am impressed by the staff and the prperty as a whole. The pool, swim up bar, comfy lounge chairs make for a really nice way to spend the day! Fishermans also has Kayaks, bikes, volleyball, and classes available for free. The beachside restaurant is a great, convenient place to get a cold drink and great food that doesn't cost much at all. If all the tranquility is too much to take, the craziness and fun of 5th Avenue is a short 10-15 minute walk through a beautiful tree lined neighborhood. Finally the condo owner Pamela was super nice and had answers for all my questions with very useful recommendations. I'll definately be back!

Pamela the just was perfect. always available and extremely accommodating. her place at fisherman's was perfect for 4(2 couples) fantastic view from the balcony and everything one might need for their stay. twin was an easy walk the condo was in a quiet place with access to more noise if you felt the need. the staff were very friendly and Gabriel ( Pamela's on-site help) went above and beyond to help spoil us. all in all 6 out of 5 stars!

Perfect getaway!
We really enjoyed our stay at Pamela’s. From before we even booked she was very helpful and responsive. A very clean quiet beach is just the past very well kept pools. The property staff and condo manager were warm and accommodating. If you like the idea of having your own kitchen and living space and two separate bedrooms, this is a great alternative to a hotel room! And the sunrise from the balcony or beach is well worth getting up for.

Penthouse with a view
Two level condo was roomy and kitchen had a few pans. Property manager helped with our broken water pump. The unit could use a spruce. as some of the lamps had duck tape on them and we were afraid to use them. 10 year old magazines in draw and incomplete games. The complex was nice and staff helpful. There was a seweed issue called sarcasm on the beach so it smelled of sulfur. We are at the restaurant once and it was good.

This is a nice property with good restaurants and amazing staff. Penthouse was big and clean with gorgeous views of the ocean. Lots of room for us 5 family members. Kitchen has everything you need. No elevator but once up the stairs its worth the views! Marcello always helped with luggage and taxis. Jesus and Emilia were good fun ambassadors with fun activities to do while in the pool or beach. Miguel was a great transport to and from the condo and even stopped at walmart for us to pick up groceries for the condo. Owner is nice and responsive. Property manager is kind also. Highly recommended for a private stay at PDC. Beach is beautiful!!!

We have stayed at Fisherman’s 3 times and love the staff, property and location. This was our first time to stay in one/two of Pamela’s condos. We arrived one hour early with groceries and luggage and were kindly allowed into our condo. The a/c upstairs was being worked on. As we started to relax, we noticed the condition of the condo. Every surface was covered in a thick layer of dust. Including linens and bedding. We began wiping surfaces off with towels. Found a dead bug on one of the beds. The floor was a mess. We swept. There appeared to be a dried blood on the floor. I messaged and sent pictures to the host, letting her know of the a/c work and the mess. She advised we could stay in her other condo. We walked there and the view was not to our liking-a roof top largely blocking the ocean view. After a/c work was completed when we went upstairs to clean. The smell of solder/burn was strong. As we dusted, we saw crawling bugs on the wall next to the primary bed. The floors were gritty. Our throats began to get sore. We messaged the host, inquiring if we could get a refund if we found somewhere else to stay. With no reply and the air quality affecting our throats, we repacked the groceries, found the bellman and moved to her other condo. That condo had issues, too. Plumbing fixed 2 days later. Ants in the kitchen. Returning to the 1st condo was offered, but the bugs and dusty linens deterred us. Not a good experience.

We loved it here; the views are incredible, just perfect! The staff is so friendly. I cannot think of anything negative to say, everything was excellent! It was just the two of us for a big place so I used the downstairs bedroom and bathroom for my clothes and to get ready which turned out really helpful. The condo has incredible views from each level. Loved it!

Amazing views and beach!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Fisherman Village Condo! Pamela was very helpful, easy to reach, and gave great recommendations. We so appreciated the ease and safety of Miguel’s transportation – they were amazing! Just as advertised, the beach is pristine and the view is amazing from the condo! The staff is so welcoming and hospitable! They always were ready to greet you with a smile and remember you name with a greeting! Pamela is right $2 bills were a big hit even in town! The bikes were a great addition to our stay and we rode several mornings into town for breakfast or lunch. We loved the safety of the designated path for bike traffic throughout downtown. We always felt safe on and off-site as the condo is in a quiet, beautiful gated community. The resort has a full-service restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner….the food was ok, and convenient when you prefer not to go out however there are plenty of good options within walking distance and/or a short taxi. The condo building does not have an elevator so getting up to the condo requires 2 flights of stairs which wasn’t a problem for our group of 4 and even a welcome way to get in our steps daily! However, if you are not able to do stairs easily be aware of this. And there are plenty of staff willing and available to carry luggage, groceries, and the 5-gallon water jugs up for you at any time. The only challenge we had during our stay was a shortage of umbrellas for the beach. There are not enough for the guests and unfortunately, it creates a “race” to get your umbrella before they are gone. The sun is very hot and shade is essential for a few in our party. If you aren't there first thing in the morning you will have to wait until breakfast is over at 11:00 when they bring the restaurant umbrellas to the beach however there are still not enough for the guests. In my opinion, this is an easy fix for Fisherman to invest in a few more so there are enough for the guests who desire one. Overall everything was great and we would come back to stay!

Fantastic Beach Views at Playa Car Fisherman Village Penthouse
We really enjoyed our stay at the Fisherman’s Village Penthouse. It was our first visit to this area of Playa Car. We found the nieghborhood to be highly beautiful and intriguing. First of all, the penthouse is located right on the beach in Playa Car Fase I. The area is noted for its beautiful, serene setting by the sea. The penthouse has a spectacular view of the ocean. The cozy romantic master suite on the second floor features a giant king bed and a super comfy mattress. I enjoyed the experience of waking up every morning to the breathtaking view of the tranquil turquoise sea. Pam’s place offers a soaring birds eye view of the ocean, the beach, and pool. The proximity to the water is highly unique, and I think it could only be matched if one had a stateroom cabin on a seafaring ship. Also, the amenities at the property are equal to a hotel — the spa looked highly professional and fabulous. The gym was certainly more ample than most gyms. The pool had lots of lounge chairs and plenty of comfy beach towels. The penthouse condo sported new kitchen cabinetry, and a balcony that overlooks the ocean and pool areas. In the evening, I enjoyed gazing at the stars and catching a glimpse of boaters, ships, birds, and the lull of Cozumel in the distance. Pamela’s property is perfect for either a family vacation or for a couple. The master suite upstairs is very beautiful and the views are unmatched. The unique crafted wooden stairs to the second floor offers plenty of local artisan charm. Playa Car is also fascinating for its architecture, and the fact that it features several Mayan ruins. The ruins are lovely and have been turned into parks and walking paths. Very cool. We loved walking or riding the bikes (the property has several bikes for free, just ask the activities director for the bikes early in the a.m. to ensure you get them) into the shopping and nightlife district of Playa del Carmen. We used the bicycles often to spin off for shopping, dining, and people watching, then back to the super quiet location right on the water. Just amazing. The property’s door man will also call you a cab for your convenience. The fisherman’s village property where the penthouse is located has many ongoing activities for all ages at the pool and beach. An additional perk of this property is the proximity to Playa Car Fase II, where my husband had appointments at Sani-Dental, a dental group in Mexico. We had a great time at the Pamela's.

Great stay in Playa del Carmen
The property was great and Pamela was very helpful with helpful advice before we arrived for our stay. The location is very safe and was at the end of a gated community. The hotel/condo are quiet enough for families or individuals looking for a low key vacation. The views were beautiful and the condo has everything you need. Any issues that we had were fixed relatively quickly by staff on site. The condo is about a 10 min walk to exit the gated community and you are right in the heart of Playa del Carmen for those looking for more nightlife. The condo is also a short walk from the Ferry for those interested in going to Cozumel for a day trip or more.

First Time In PDC
Good location but if you don't like to walk long distance then get a taxi because it's a long walk to get to the main gate. Food was ok, best deal is breakfast. Close to Xcaret we spent 3 days at their parks so we really didn't spend that much time at the condo. A/C works perfect, nice view, good communication with Pamela. If you want towels you must pay for maid service no washer or dryer you need to get laundry services as well. Very safe and beautiful private community.

3.5 stars if I could- View is amazing but stay was quite frustrating.
Pros: The view from the Condo, the building it’s self has a nice pool & hot tub, in a beautiful private neighborhood, walking distance to the action/ferry area, comfy beds (beware it’s 1 king bed & 2 twin beds), nice balcony area, & cold AC. Cons: Communication could use improvement, I received a PDF outlining everything pertaining to the condo rental (which 90% isn’t listed on here) after asking how to check in to the condo. The PDF was misguiding as it wasn’t for the unit we were staying in. To check in you will have to put a CC on file with a hold of almost $300 on it. We were taken to our unit on the 3rd floor, when we got there we realized we had no key. When I asked for the key at the front desk they told me I had to contact the property manager (PM) to get the code. After messaging the PM through WhatsApp I got the code to the door. This key info should have been provided in the PDF, but it wasn’t. We were on our own after this. I say this because since we aren’t part of the resort & are a part of the condos we were denied a lot of services. Examples: We requested new towels on the 3rd night of staying there but the condo staff & the PM told us no. So we had to use the same towels all week. We asked if we could wash the child that we had and were also told we couldn’t do that. The towels are super thin btw & not of good quality. The currency Exchange was not available to us. We couldn’t order maid service. (In the PDF it states to set up the maid service at check-in, we didn’t do this as we received the PDF late.) To use the bikes was like asking to borrow a car almost. No one would check us out a bike as the activity coordinator wasn’t available at 11 AM. The cleanliness of the condo was also questionable. There was black mold in the showers, The shower curtains are also dirty at the bottom with that orangey film, the 5 gallon water jug that is provided had black mold on the pump for it, and some of the kitchen utensils and cutting boards had black mold. The skirting on the king size bed was really disgusting. The place is comfortable, and beautiful, but the communication from the condo staff & PM was really difficult and frustrating plus the cleanliness of the condo was questionable. I did not talk to the owner much as she states she was traveling during this time. Her PM was hardly of any use to us during our stay.

Relaxing stay
When you stay somewhere, the review really depends on what you are looking for. We were looking for a reasonable place for our family to stay right on the beach. We wanted a simple kitchen, a pool, and a hot tub. We didn't want crowds or a loud condo or complex. This place checks all those boxes. The condo is simple but the beds were comfortable and was just fine with us. We really didn't spend a ton of time inside as we wanted to be on the beach. The complex is small, and as such, you can easily get a chair by the pool and relax. The water is great and we enjoyed the boogie boards that you can get at the desk. You can easily walk to downtown (we did several times) and you can also walk to the pier to take the ferry over to Cozumel. I saw in some reviews people didn't like the stairs (they are no big deal) and they said the place is a bit dated. If you want a modern complex with spotless interior perhaps this is not for you. But if you are looking for a calm and relaxing place at a reasonable price, then I would recommend this property.
