"The Google map on the VRBO site showed this property on the edge of San Vito. In reality it was 35 minutes away, a significant section of that was gravel. The cabin was very basic, but OK. It would have been nice to have a couple chairs, the stools were quite uncomfortable. Driving to the cabin to unload our luggage was a challenge, down a steep gravel driveway. The parking space was precarious, on a steep grass slope. The dinner and breakfast we had were very good. If you want to be in a quiet remote place, this would be great. "

"Beautiful rainforest property with good birding opportunity, birds song, cicadas, and frogs, but "touristy", so the natural vibe gets ruined. It seems they cater to tour groups, so not very private or queit. Have to pay for 3 meals a day but on their schedule that's too late for serious birding and not as healthy as I'd prefer. I travel solo and do not enjoy sitting by myself or wasting time I could be out finding birds sitting in a restaurant. I go ut birding before daybreak so, lunch as late as 13:00 and O MG on the dinner at 19:00 hours! That's almost bedtime for a serious birder, so unhealthy. I also disliked the large group tours and no options for private guide at such a perfect, well known place to find endemic and special birds place. No fridge in room to keep my own food cold. NO WIFI in room!! Make sure you see that. I couldn't message home without walking down to the restaurant (again back out with all the people - exactly the opposite of the serene rainforest experience I'd hoped for.) Sorry to report negativity. It IS a beautiful place if being with a group instead of the self-in-nature is your thing. The road is also in bad condition - narrow with many potholes."

"This hotel is located in a beautiful town in the mountains with an elevation of about 3500. The place is operated by a very nice couple. I stayed here with my wife and one of our sons. We really enjoyed the stay. There is a BBQ restaurant just across the street from the hotel. We had dinner there and loved it as well. "

"The cabinas are very nice with beautiful views of the mountains and the valley. The staff is wonderful and the food is good. The property is close to the Wilson botanical gardens, which is a must visit attraction. "

"The property is wild and wonderful! They are really not joking about the trek to get in there, but that is part of why it's so great once you are there. That road is something, and then parking is a bit from the tree house. We saw all kinds of wildlife and enjoyed both sunny and stormy weather. It had an immersion feel for sure. The trees are stunning old growth! There was a wonderful path down to a river/rapids to play in. I would suggest people to pack minimally what they will carry up so it's easier to get their supplies from the car, but once you are there, the tree house is divine and has everything you need! The solar power worked really well even though it was rainy the first day. The shower was warm and comforting after hiking in a hard rain. When we showed up for check-in we had a sick kid and a lightening storm had just started, so they were so supported! Thank you!"
