We visited the Alexandra Redoubt today. It is extremely significant in the land wars between the British and Maoris and you can still walk the trench walls. It's really great to visit places like this, you would hardly know it was there unless you had a local to take you like I did!

"It was a pleasure to return to this apartment after a year. It has easy parking , friendly staff and was quiet throughout our three day stay . The continental breakfast was more than adequate. It was convenient for walking to the restaurants we were joining friends at.
