"The place was a little hard to find, though not that far from Maastricht where we were attending the antique fair. The major problem was that this is in the winter and the heating was out of order. Two portable heaters were installed in the suite but one turned the electricity down when you wanted to use it. The lady we spoke to on the phone said she would come and fix it but never did. "This was a return visit to Le Refuge, having stayed there 3 years previously. The owners remembered us and on arrival were offered 'coffee and cake'! This visit was just as memorable as the first with the hosts being the best. The property is superbly located being a short distance from the center of Hasselt. Leider hätten wir fast das über Expedia gebuchte und bereits bezahlte Zimmer nicht erhalten, da der Vermieter seinen Aussagen zufolge den Vertrag mit Expedia Anfang Februar gekündigt hat und keine Reservierung vorliegen hatte. "Upon arrival the property did not have heat or hot water nor bedding for the second bed and they will not return my emails to try and correct the issue. I left immediately without staying and they will not refund me."
