"This hotel is well maintained, but simple. It is a place to stay when you just need a nice safe place to sleep. The staff were very straightforward (the stereotype of a German), but helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is next to an industrial site that seems to store waste bins, so it had the smell of mulch (not unpleasant to me, but be aware). Service in the restaurant was very, very slow, unusual for Germany, we found. I had trouble even getting the bill to pay. Food very ordinary.
