Reservation and check in was a breeze. This property was perfect for our family, packed full family games and plenty of room for our dog. It was a great getaway for the weekend, I wished we could’ve stayed longer!
We had a great stay at this property, such a cute house and very clean. We enjoyed the fire pit and screened-in porch the most. As we were planning the trip, the owner was so great to communicate with us in a timely manner. We would definitely recommend staying at this location.
We enjoyed having a place we could all stay when in the area for a family wedding. We even put the Christmas tree to use and celebrated our Christmas a few days early.
Beautiful cottage surrounded by national forest. Almost magical trail. leave the house on you bike and pedal to atlanta or anniston with no worries of car traffic.
Hosts thought of everything from smore fixings, coffee, sweet treats- even firewood.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We will be back!
House was very clean and beds were extremely comfortable! Perfectly located near silver comet trail! Host went over the top to make sure we had what we needed! We’ll definitely be coming back!
Perfect for our family gathering. Adequately stocked with kitchen & dining necessities. Plenty of space for relaxation and conversations, inside and outside. Thank you for sharing your home!
We stayed here to ride our SXS'd at Indian Mountain.
The property is amazing.. very nice.. neat place. The only downfall which might not be for others is the limited connectivity.
Host is very good to work with..
Would definitely stay again.
This place was absolutely beautiful!! Loved that it had trail walks. When we arrived they had s’mores and stuff. For the fire. It was absolutely amazing. Definitely would do this trip again stay at the house.
This place is awesome, off the beaten path, has everything you need the only thing I would do different is ADD pictures of a beautiful stream that's right behind the house .
We loved that the house was on the Chief Ladiga Trail. We wanted to be able to walk out from the house and walk the trail. Also close to Pinhoti Trail. Very secluded. Owners had a fire pit and left materials for s’mores. We enjoyed the back porch and relaxing there after a long walk.
This house has everything you might need. Televisions were great, and the kitchen was super. We only used the main floor, and BBQed one evening.
Piedmont was a short bike ride. Don't count on restaurants. We ate once in town. It was so nice to ride out of the driveway onto the trail.
This was a great cabin/house. Very close to Highland Park if you would rather not camp, and also Cedar Town. If you are a road biker/MTB, the super long paved trail is walking distance from the cabin and is barely used. The bike trail is very beautiful and goes through the forest with mild elevation changes. I am not sure why there are not hundreds of people using this trail but that might be a good thing. The property is very quiet and relaxing with plenty of room. The host are very nice and helpful. We had a great stay.
Where do I start? The 90 mile paved Chief Ladiga / Silver Comet trail in the Talledega National Forest - beautiful!, the Pinhoti Trail that leads to the A.T. Less than 1/4 mile away! - Dugger Mountain Guns And Fudge Shop in Piedmont - if you like fudge or chicken salad (YES the BEST homemade sandwich’s), Sugarless Sweets in Cedartown - a gluten free sugarless bakery to die for and Bloomin Miracles - a small Japanese maple nursery with over 100 available varieties at AMAZING prices! AND the fire pit, the house - everything! It is perfect and we stay once a year! Did I mention that Julie is the best host? Can’t go wrong!
The tranquility of being, surrounded by nature , the squirrels, woodpeckers, deer stream the sounds echoing thru the canyon coming , together as I you enjoyed a cup of coffee. I was home everything I remember Alabama to be since the 80s I was home. Thank you Julie for sharing your home with us. AL
Fun place to spend a long weekend. It's private, secluded and beautiful and the tradeoff is no cell service and very weak wifi. If you're ok with that, it's perfect. Very clean, comfortable and great AC. We made a big family dinner which went well but needed to bring in a lot of the spices we needed. Lots of games and things to do and the trails around the property were great too. Wonderful flora and fauna. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again even with the tough wifi.
