"A pretty amazing place. Looks very luxurious, the restaurant and the meal was super fancy and yet very reasonably priced. We couldn’t understand why the place was mostly empty, but we stayed mid-week, and the place clearly caters to Italians (even the spa menu was only in Italian). The air-conditioning in the room was not very strong and very noisy, but otherwise very nice room. "

We considered staying in Paestum to be close to the great temples but knowing that La Mortella was only 20 minutes away convinced us to try something different during our Italia tour. We were provided an umbrella and reclining sun beds at no extra charge. Location is convenient to Amalfi Coast and Paestum. "We were initially super excited to come to this hotel after seeing pics and it’s high ratings but when we arrived we noticed immediately that we were a burden. "Our stay here was exactly what we were looking for in a city center hotel. Located in the heart of the town we were minutes walking from anything we wanted to visit in the town.
