"we were there for almost three weeks and really enjoyed it. The owner is very friendly and happy to help with any questions. However, you should know that the nearest shops can only be reached by car, since the house is very quiet and secluded. you also have to drive to go out in the evening. "The property was clean and well equipped the pool was large and very clean. Communication was excellent throughout our stay. Weather was against us as the area is quite mountainous and therefore subject o fluctuations. Car is essential. Small town nearby has everything required. Restaurant within walking distance down a steep winding road but unfortunately was closed for the majority of our stay. "

"My daughter and I spent a lovely week there. We loved it. If you want a week away from it all you couldn't do better. Most mornings were in the garden just reading in the sun. The small farmhouse is very peaceful with great views. The house is comfortable and everything worked (incl Wifi). It could do with a bit better seating area inside for the evenings, it's ok and you are normally outside. A small point. Lucca is close by and fascinating, worth taking a guided tour. Good (very organised)...

"Unbelievably stunning setting. You will need to be a confident driver to manage the roads up to the house as the roads are steep and winding as you would expect in Tuscany. The smell of Jasmine and the natural peaceful surrounding beauty is amazing. We used the pool everyday and enjoyed a bbq too. We loved the little lizards, flamboyant butterflies and stargazing at night. There is a great cafe about 29 minutes walking up the hill with a lovely atmosphere and a small local shop to get essentials...

"The house was very clean, comfortable and spacious and we never tired of the superlative views across the valley. Diego and his dad are lovely and always available when needed. If I was to suggest an improvement, it would be a little more kitchen equipment - there was no sharp knife for cooking, no collander, few wine glasses and an oven tray that didn’t fit the oven. A small point that did not detract from a great week in a stand out property. Highly recommended!"

"Skøn plet i bjergene. Vi nød det virkeligt, men der er 20 minutters bjergkørsel til indkøb, så man skal huske det hele, når man handler ind. Pool, hus og området omkring huset var super lækkert. Skøn vandretur på ruten Grottorotondo ovenfor huset. Eneste minus var, at vi i den grad følte os værfet ud på afrejsedagen, hvor vi egentligt havde udtjekning kl. 10, men der kom allerede folk kl. 6 om morgenen og påbegyndte klargøring af pool og udeområder med larmende græsslåning. 3 rengøringsdamer...

The property and grounds need a little TLC, the grounds were a bit overgrown and the property could do with a little bit of money spent on it, in particular in the kitchen and bathrooms. "Superb. We had a great week in the beautiful villa Alventura. The facilities are excellent, the surrounding countryside is stunning and Anne and Simon couldn’t have been more helpful as hosts. We particularly appreciated both indoor and outdoor kitchens, well equipped, and the pizza oven was well used by us. The bedrooms are spacious and the whole place was clean and well looked after. Only 10 mins drive from Montecarlo where there are four or five excellent restaurants. Ideal to explore Florence/Tuscany and the Appenines too. You need a car. "
