"we were there for almost three weeks and really enjoyed it. The owner is very friendly and happy to help with any questions. However, you should know that the nearest shops can only be reached by car, since the house is very quiet and secluded. you also have to drive to go out in the evening. But we really enjoyed the rest, everything was fine for us!"

"The property was clean and well equipped the pool was large and very clean. Communication was excellent throughout our stay. Weather was against us as the area is quite mountainous and therefore subject o fluctuations. Car is essential. Small town nearby has everything required. Restaurant within walking distance down a steep winding road but unfortunately was closed for the majority of our stay. "

"Luca is a very hospitable and friendly host! The house is exactly as in the pictures with a private entry gate and parking. The jacuzzi is heated and very relaxing. We really enjoyed the late night BBQs next to the pool. The house is perfect for 2-9 people. If you would like a relaxing holiday with privacy and luxury this is the perfect spot for you!"

"My daughter and I spent a lovely week there. We loved it. If you want a week away from it all you couldn't do better. Most mornings were in the garden just reading in the sun. The small farmhouse is very peaceful with great views. The house is comfortable and everything worked (incl Wifi). It could do with a bit better seating area inside for the evenings, it's ok and you are normally outside. A small point. Lucca is close by and fascinating, worth taking a guided tour. Good (very organised)...

"We rented all three houses for 12 people, which worked very well. The grounds and the area are typically Tuscan, very charming and beautiful. The propertymanager is very helpful and available. The poolarea is particularly nice and the teenagers spent all day there :-) Nearby you’ll find Lucca, winetasting, hiking and many other activities. Highly recommendable."

"Unbelievably stunning setting. You will need to be a confident driver to manage the roads up to the house as the roads are steep and winding as you would expect in Tuscany. The smell of Jasmine and the natural peaceful surrounding beauty is amazing. We used the pool everyday and enjoyed a bbq too. We loved the little lizards, flamboyant butterflies and stargazing at night. "The house was very clean, comfortable and spacious and we never tired of the superlative views across the valley. Diego and his dad are lovely and always available when needed. If I was to suggest an improvement, it would be a little more kitchen equipment - there was no sharp knife for cooking, no collander, few wine glasses and an oven tray that didn’t fit the oven. A small point that did not detract from a great week in a stand out property. Highly recommended!"

"Skøn plet i bjergene. Vi nød det virkeligt, men der er 20 minutters bjergkørsel til indkøb, så man skal huske det hele, når man handler ind. Pool, hus og området omkring huset var super lækkert. Skøn vandretur på ruten Grottorotondo ovenfor huset. Eneste minus var, at vi i den grad følte os værfet ud på afrejsedagen, hvor vi egentligt havde udtjekning kl. 10, men der kom allerede folk kl. 6 om morgenen og påbegyndte klargøring af pool og udeområder med larmende græsslåning. 3 rengøringsdamer...

"Would recommend this villa to anyone with a family group looking to stay in the beautiful Tuscan countryside with very easy access to the lovely city of Lucca. The pool was the cleanest we have had. Vittorio was a brilliant host. Responsive and friendly. Would love to stay here again."

The property and grounds need a little TLC, the grounds were a bit overgrown and the property could do with a little bit of money spent on it, in particular in the kitchen and bathrooms. "Superb. We had a great week in the beautiful villa Alventura. The facilities are excellent, the surrounding countryside is stunning and Anne and Simon couldn’t have been more helpful as hosts. We particularly appreciated both indoor and outdoor kitchens, well equipped, and the pizza oven was well used by us. The bedrooms are spacious and the whole place was clean and well looked after. The pool is great for cooling off. Even though the September weather we had was rather mixed the afternoons...

"Had a wonderful week relaxing here. Air conditioning in the bedrooms a godsend. Beds really comfy. Stunning gardens with lots of places to sunbathe or relax in the shade including a lovely little pool to cool off in. Only 10 mins drive from Montecarlo where there are four or five excellent restaurants. Ideal to explore Florence/Tuscany and the Appenines too. You need a car. "

"Just amazing property Lucca was lovely. The road leading to the house was no joke its really off-road. I had a rubbish car and it made it but you need to have some vague confidence. Pizza night organised was really enjoyable had a smashing time. Id say the house is definitely child safe but for a really active 1 year old we found ourselves constantly having to monitor him every second he was awake. But it’s defiantly manageable really nice stay and well worth the visit. "
