"We saw all the terrible reviews on our way to this stay so we were definitely nervous! However on arrival we were relieved, from the outside and reception it is not the most glamorous hotel and if you’re expecting “hotel service” don’t, it is a very basic place, the room itself was clean and very spacious, kitchenette worked great and we saved heaps home cooking meals this week, we couldn’t work out the AC unit however the fan worked fine! "WoW. We are local and have always wanted to stay here. We went for an overnight staycation for my husband's birthday. The Negresco upgraded our room to a view room which was a lovely Bday surprise! Although the Negresco is under construction, they did much to minimize its effects by limiting the noisy time and placing us as far from the noise as possible. The staff were all amazing and kind. The Spa is incredible. Had some of the best massages of our life there and enjoyed the pampering and ambiance. Highly recommend."
