"Perfect pick for us, convenient, clean, safe, helpful staff. Helped get a taxi to get to Salerno train station. Breakfast included. Beautiful view of river running thru Campagna. Campagna has historical sites which housed Jews during war, but the Italians were kind to the prisoners, which caused some their lives. US bombed Campagna causing deaths to Jews and citizens, but my family realizes it was a stratigic strike. Catacombs under church dating way back. Great Catina there, also pizzaria "

"This place is so special! Absolutely beautiful location, the staff is so sweet, breakfast is great with a mountain view. The rooms feel so special. This is a hidden gem and there's no way it can stay a secret for long. Note, though, that you *definitely* need to have your own car if you're staying here. It's very remote and there are no restaurants in the town currently (at least while we were staying there). Totally worth it but just something to know."

"We've just got home after a really good stay at Casa Rosa and we can't recommend the place enough. Casa Rosa itself is set in a very quiet part of the village and we had a really peaceful, quiet atmosphere. The property has everything you need to unwind and relax and several outdoor spaces to escape from, or enjoy the sun! The village itself is lovely and the locals are very friendly, kind and polite. We enjoyed days out in surrounding villages and towns, there are too many nice ones to name individually but we particularly enjoyed Scanno, Pacentro and Sulmona.Abruzzo really is a beautiful region and we will definitely return to this property. "The host ended up being extremely kind but we never received any communication or confirmation from the host after booking. Our rental was paid in full at the time of booking and we received confirmation from VRBO about our upcoming stay (address, etc) but no response from our host when I sent her a couple different messages. The day we arrived, we tried calling the host and got no answer but we randomly ran into her on the street near the rental. She apologized and said she was having issues with the baking aspect of her VRBO account and never received confirmation of our booking so the unit was already rented! She said she had another "vintage" apartment in town we could check out or another one in a nearby town, about 15 minutes away. We had been traveling all week and planned to meet family in Pratola, so we didnt want to stay outside of the town. The apartment was clean but on the 3rd floor with no a/c and it was over 90 degrees out and stifling hot in the rental. I would never choose to rent that apartment but we were tired and desperate so we decided it would work. I believe it was an honest mistake and we enjoyed ourselves visiting the small town but I would caution others to confirm your stay to make certain you don't get blindsided when you arrive in Pratola... Make sure the host is aware of your stay and if you don't hear back closer to your booked trip, I'd confirm with VRBO prior to your arrival. There aren't many other rental options in the town!"

"A friend and I stayed in this 2 bedroom/2 bathroom flat for a couple of weeks. It is very clean and has everything needed for light cooking. During the day, the neighborhood is quiet but comes alive in the evenings when everyone is outside for the passegiata. There are a number of bars to enjoy for your morning coffee or aperitivo in the evenings. A local favorite shop just around the corner, Antichi Sapori, has quality prosciutto, salume and cheeses. Our host/owner, Nunzio, speaks perfect English and was very helpful. He met us onsite to introduce us to the house and the neighborhood, going so far as to mark up a local map with places we might enjoy walking, grocery stores, etc. I was there looking for a retirement house for my husband and me and Nunzio gave me the contact details for a local realtor who was very helpful. Nunzio responded quickly to our questions and was a great host. My friend and I liked Pratola very much; as people became accustomed to seeing us they would greet us in the street. I found a house in another village nearby, but would have enjoyed more time in Pratola Peligna. I would definitely stay in Nunzio’s flat again."
