"The host, Ali, was great and accommodating. Thank you! He responded to questions quickly. After our stay there in early August, we agreed with the other reviews that it got too hot inside during the day without air conditioning. But the evenings did cool off and there was a supply of fans. Our biggest concern was that the cleaning service used perfumed laundry soap and cleaning products that were pretty strong smelling. We ended up re-washing all of the sheets beforehand to try and mitigate the...

"Very pretty location with lovely picture window overlooking the creek and redwoods. Comfortable bed. Quiet neighborhood. Well stocked kitchen except a wine opener is needed. Not their fault that Oct 2 was a 104 degrees but a workable A/C would have made it better. It did cool down at night so would still recommend this home. "

"We were in the South Bay for a wedding at Nestledown and didn't want to make the drive back home after festivities. This cabin is indeed cute, definitely tucked into the forest, and couldn't be any more convenient for the wedding venue unless it was literally on site. Host was quick to respond and place was tidy and comfortable."

"The two bedroom place was comfortable and clean. It had everything one needed for privacy in a convenient location: driving to get to the place is like driving through a Redwoods park "

"What a fantastic little gem in the Santa Cruz Mountains could not have asked for a better place as a short little getaway. The attention to detail and everything you could possibly need was right there for us with the possibility to escape to great restaurants nearby. Loved the set up of the house in the ferry. Ring of trees in the backyard was amazing. Will definitely be back amazing place!"

"We had a really bad reservation with website, was so annoying and frustrating, was a really bad experience for payment, fire place out was out of gas and we are not satisfied because I just chose this place for the fire outside, I sent the message but nobody did not respond and they have to refund a part of the money. However the rest was good. "

"Overall, the little cabin at Masood’s Lodge was quaint and fairly well kept. Lots of areas set up to enjoy outside location. However, the linens or mattress in the bedroom smelled absolutely terrible (not sure if mattess had been vomited on at some point—there was no mattress pad on the bed to protect it) and did not want to use it. That is what ruined the stay for me. Everything else was fine."

"I booked this property a year in advance because we were going to be there for work and it was a holiday weekend. We arrived in the afternoon to check in and they did not have a room for us. This was pretty catastrophic as we were starting work that night and did not have a place to take a shower and change after being in 100 degree weather all day working. The host was not helpful. "this is a large, tranquil property very near the entrance of portola redwoods state park. there are 3 cabins, one occupied permanently in the front by a friendly and kind man ,Michael ( and his mom),who are keeping an eye out on everything. just behind the front cabin, there is a large 3 bedroom cabin which was our base for the park, along with a tiny ,but cozy cabin that was behind it, with plenty of room to stretch out for everybody.
