"A budget hotel near the Plaza de Armes. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Decent free breakfast. Reasonably quiet. Showers were cool, not sure if we were doing something wrong as we didn’t check with the staff. Overall if your standards are ok with just the basics for a low price then this is good value for your $."

"When I arrived with a friend I was told that we didn't have a reservation after the woman thought I was the one who booked & cancelled the room. We walked inside to resolve this issue but the place was filled with dogs and excretes. The woman couldn't find our reservation even though I clearly had the confirmation from hotels.com. she was very rude when we tried to leave to find a cleaner hostel. A guy was just staring at us with strange looks from the couch. I would not recommend staying here...

"My solo trip to Casa de la Gringa was the best gift I’ve ever given to myself! The staff was friendly and accommodating, the room was bright, clean, comfortable, and had a lovely loft space perfect for meditating! My fellow guests were wonderful- fellow seekers who became instant friends! I never felt lonely with all of these beautiful souls keeping me company.
