What a gem! This old cozy inn is a place I wish I could live. Impeccably clean, comfortable, wonderful helpful staff, clean luxurious pool & hot tub, & 5 star breakfast! Thank you!

Unfortunately the dining room was under renovation and was not open for dinner or breakfast which was very disappointing as that was the reason we booked based on reviews. Property is quirky in design. Room was comfortable.
Interesting place to stay. Food was very good, the coffee was incredible. Room was quite lovely, warm, comfortable with all mod cons. Only real issue was the strong scent of a plug in air freshener. I removed it from the socket and opened the patio door and it was fine after. Noticed slight musty smell in the bathroom, but the property is old so it wasn’t surprising. Would rather old building smell than perfume. Everything else very clean with fresh thick linens. Couldn’t use jets in spa tub because it was very loud, but bath was fine without.
This has been one of the best experiences that I have had at any hotel. The staff was outstanding, the facilities and amenities were outstanding and the breakfast was beyond top notch. I have ZERO complaints about this stay and I will always check here first when I am looking in the area. Excellent experience all around.
A gem in hiding! Welcoming property and staff. Easy check in and friendly tour of the amenities. Clean pool, hot tub. Amazing food (beats any restaurant in Ottawa) for dinner and jaw dropping breakfast! And all this with an amazing cause to help youth! Don’t just drive by, check it out, you won’t regret! Promise.
I do not typically write reviews, good or bad, but after this experience I had to say something.
This inn is beautiful and inspiring. A particular shout out to Ann and Thomas (the gardener). The gardens here are amazing and incorporate a sustainable and time true indigenous component that is remarkable. Thomas was kind enough to walk me through his gardens and share with me his insights and wisdom. I will absolutely visit this place again (perhaps several more times :))
The restaurant is only open on the weekends
The bar is only open on the weekends.
Those two items are conveniently omitted from the Travelocity description
The staff was only present during breakfast.
The steps up to your room are treacherous so be aware if you have large or bulky luggage.
The town is beautiful but on a Monday we had to drive 50 miles round trip to get an open restaurant . No ice. Coffee maker in room broken. No counter space whatsoever in bathroom. Zero. Our stuff was on edge of tub and floor. Not nearly enough outlets.
The Inn is beautiful. Breakfast was fantastic. The grounds are lovely. The inn keeper did text suggestions on where to find food.
I just find fault with misleading expectations of what is available.
The price is right. I’d still recommend just go in knowing on certain days you’ll be foraging for a nice sit down meal or adult beverages.
Loved the elegant style, beautiful furnishings and artwork. Great food.
