"House is as described. The pictures do not do it justice. The rooms appear dark and make the furniture seem old. In reality, the rooms are very bright and the furniture is of very good quality. Unlike other villas, no expense was spared when buying settees that are not saggy and extremely clean. The kitchen appliances are also of good quality, mainly Bosch, and there is enough cutlery and crockery for a battalion. There is a second fridge / freezer in the games room and a second cooker, that we did not use. The pool is fantastic. We used it at the beginning of the season when the temperatures dipped at night and it was still quite warm. The views are stunning. Some people moaned about dogs. We could only hear them at around 7pm for no more than 5 minutes. We were far more impressed by the calling of partridges that we could spot around. Good quality bedsheets and towels, bed was a little soft but this is not a criticism, just a matter of preference. Although there were only 2 of us, lots of towels were provided and ALL bathrooms and bedrooms were ready for guests. There were lots of pans and pots, the barbecue was close to the pool. Luis, the property manager is a very nice man. Nothing is too much for him. He sorts out everything and he is a fountain of knowledge. He would come whenever needed and he will check that everything is in order, that customers are happy and do not need anything. The welcome pack was also a nice gesture. Will definitely come back."

"An incredible villa, perfect for a family getaway. The pool/outside area was a particular hit with the kids (and adults too!) Really well positioned for trips to places such as Tavira, Olhão, Vila Real do Santo António and across to Spain too. Easy check in process and great communication from the hosts. Would highly recommend!"

"Beautiful little hotel shared with the Museu hotel. We had a side balcony overlooking the river, pool and terrace. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Staff were lovely and helpful. The location was perfect for exploring the town. I would totally recommend this hotel. "

"Second time staying here. Lovely reception area. Friendly staff. Large bedroom with lovely view over the river. Good sized bathroom with plenty of toiletries provided. However bathroom was a bit dated and worn looking in places. The grab bar in the bath was corroded and didn’t look the best. Good choice available for breakfast. Bar menu in the evening was very disappointing. I ordered a toasted sandwich with turkey - it consisted of a toasted bap with about four slices of shiny processed turkey beside it. Did not look very attractive and certainly not what was expected from a four star hotel. Overall I would definitely stay here again as the location and ambience are very good."
