"We loved everything about our 4 week stay at this beautiful home. Amazing views, and a comfortable and well thought out floor plan that would suit a group of 6 - 8. Nicely finished interior with a modern aesthetic . That being said, I’m guessing the property is 20+ years old with original finishing, appliances, dishes, bedding, air conditioners, blinds and tile work. There is water damaged walls inside and out. "This is a great place to stay. Super clean and very well-equipped. Just a short walk to the beach and there are some good restaurants nearby if you don't want to go into the old town. Also close to a large supermarket and theres a mini-market 5 mins walk away. The host is also very helpful and responsive to communications. Overall highly recommended!"

"We had a great stay at Janelo do Mar. The villa is in a great location near restaurants and a short drive to beautiful beaches. We had a few issues which Isabel did her best to sort out. One point I would raise is the lack of lighting by the BBQ area. We were only a family of 4 so could eat during the evening at the small table outside the villa overlooking the pool but we couldn’t see to BBQ! "Such a spacious and cozy villa! We were welcomed by Carolina who already started a fire in the cool weather. We did some hiking and lots of walking, cooked a couple of meals. "Lovely villa , comfortable , spacious , clean , everything we needed in the kitchen . Pool was great . Hot tub was extra . Arrived late first night , neighbour reported us for being noisy -two kids in the pool . Hands up , yes they were excited , had been travelling all day and yes there is a ‘quiet neighbour ‘ scheme between 10m and 9am . But no one mentioned the local dogs that bark constantly 24/7 , I’m not talking one or two , I have never heard so many dogs barking in one area . Honestly...

"Only 5-star reviews of this property; the check- in was fine and quick, although it was off-site (just nav/map it). The building next door is vacant and sketchy but it is not - the area is being redeveloped. Dining options are somewhat scant under a 10- 15 minute walk, but there are many just beyond that. Parking is free in front of the building and available when we were there, but not sure if there are spaces in the summer, as there is a beach access and club there. "
