"Absolutely best location for visitors to Wellington. Located on Cuba street and in the CBD, near the Harbour and spoiled for shopping and food choices. Close to bus stops and a nice walk to the cable car or museum. Weta is a 20 minute bus ride away and airport is similar by taxi. Room was clean, nicely decorated, and perfect for our stay. Staff were simply amazing with any questions on check in, calling a taxi (5min wait!) and the food…exceptional. All in all, if you are new or visiting...

"I chose to pay a premium to stay here because of the pool and hot tub, but sadly the pool area was a bit gross - grubby, slightly murky water and the hot tub was "temporarily" out of action for repair, but looked like it had been in that state for a while with a missing tile and filthy inside. I only swam once in a 2 night stay where i normally would swim twice a day. The room was good, bed was a bit hot due to the latex mattress. Shower was just OK. Great location but not worth the extra 30%...

"Lovely hotel, friendly staff & great service with a fantastic breakfast. Rooms (classic at least) are a little on the small side with no drawers to store clothes which is annoying for a weeks stay. Only a small a wardrobe though they did supply more hangers. Bose sound system didn't work in my room. "

"Our stay at the Hilton was good. Rooms were spacious and staff helpful. It was a little bizarre, though, that the Hotel couldn’t match a third party rate. I had to sit in the lobby, make the booking in Expedia and then they could check me in. Overall a pleasant stay"

"This is a lovely place to stay in Wellington. The staff are friendly, kind and competent. The room was small, but had everything we needed. Its super convenient to the inter-island ferry."

"I had a wonderful visit in Wellington. Haka House was easy to get to from the airport. And the surrounding area had a lot of food options. It is conveniently located to all the sights, made walking to them accessible without having to catch a bus or call an Uber. I love it that the staff were all very friendly. I had a great experience and have already recommended Haka House to a friend who plans to visit Auckland."

"The room was nice and bed comfortable. It was fully appointed. Location was walkable but not well situated. Parking was a pain. Inadequate at the hotel and required surveillance on the street to feed meter. Constant parking costs were expensive. The streets are busy and narrow "
