"We had a great time at Melissa's house! There was plenty of room for us to all hang out, but also have our private space. The fireplace and repository of pinon wood was a very pleasant and welcome surprise, and the courtyard was a great place for two dogs to get their ya-yas out. "This is an old rustic home that speaks to a bygone era. A good location in town and in a nice neighborhood. Not a bad walk to a classic small town shopping area with a variety of shops ranging from mountain gear to local artists. If one is staying for more than a few days you will run out of clean dishes and silverware fairly quickly as the supply is limited. The owner/manager was quick to respond to messages, which was nice. "The only thing that could have been better is if I had headed the words of the host, “use his written directions” do NOT use your GPS. We drove in at night, it’s hard to see out there at night. The GPS had us on the other side of the mountain, at the end of a dirt road. The host came out in his truck to come and try to rescue us. Very kind. "

"Spacious. Excellent light: large windows downstairs and upstairs provided a lovely view of the sunset every day, and skylights in the living room created a bright and inviting space. Kind and responsive host. The neighbor's friendly cats are available for pets. "

"This is our 2nd time staying here. We love the location, the hot tub, and the up/down units work just fine for larger groups. Great host."

There were some maintenance quirks that could use addressing (or a heads up), like the fact that the hall bathroom hot/cold water shower controls are reversed, and the kitchen faucet sprayer is kinda broken, but all in all, we would definitely return!Also, there are no instructions for how to leave the place at check-out, so I'm hoping what we did was sufficient!"
