"Very pleased. Although the mattresses on the beds are very hard. Would suggest the following to make guests more comfortable: hooks for clothing and wet towels. There is no place to hang anything in the bedrooms or bathrooms. Waste basket in bathroom. Fitted sheets on bunk beds. Another chair by the couch area. Stools at breakfast bar nice. Take the plastic off light in bunk bed area. Not safe and could melt to glass if it hasn’t already. New Broom. I will upload photos. "

"Great area to do lots of hiking and not far from so many beautiful Lake Michigan beaches to Petoskey stone hunt, which turned out great. Colors on trees were pretty much gone already, but the weather was perfect, and we enjoyed walking the calm beaches at Walloon Lake and Lake Michigan. Walloon is a beautiful little town with great restaurants and an awesome General store. Cabin was nice and cozy. Master bed could be replaced, because it is old and not comfy. "We loved our stay. There are 2 maintenance issues that did not detract from our enjoyment but the owner should know about. The tv in the upstairs bedroom at the back does nor work. The microwave needs to be replaced. Most of the buttons do not function. We were able to turn it on and manually turn it off after a minute but you cant't use any other button"

"This cabin left us feeling incredibly lucky and humbled to be a part of it for a couple of days. This felt like a pleasant weekend with your most cherished family members and for me it reminds me of my grandmother’s house whom I was fond of. From the family scenery and history, to the animals that call that cabin part of their home/routine. I hope we were able to treat this cabin as well as they treated us. "

"It was exactly what me and my wife were looking for. We stayed here for our honeymoon and after all the wedding planning and chaos, this cabin was a perfect recharge station for us. I booked 2 nights, but I wish I would've booked it longer. It was peaceful and a nice change of pace for us. We are planning on making it a yearly tradition going forward."

"Wonderful cabin, nestled among tall trees. During our stay, the trees were awash in the golden color of fall. The cabin has a great porch that goes the full length of the cabin in front and back. Both porches are adorned with Michigan Adirondac chairs, and a relaxing porch swing on the fron porch. Gorgeous hardwood floors throughout. Very comftorable. Only thing I suggest is a tea kettle! No WiFi in the cabin. We used the Jerk Depot in nearby Alanson. I highly recommend staying at this cabin!"
