"We were delighted with the location of the hotel to explore Faro and we loved the quirkiness of it all. We were off season so didn’t expect to use the pool and outside areas. They were a bit run down looking with some broken sunbeds and torn curtains but hopefully that was being addressed by the owners as they renovated for the start of the new season. We had an amazing evening meal on our second evening which was the highlight of our stay. We really enjoyed our stay"

"It was very basic for the type of hotel we are used to staying in but none the less very clean and friendly. Perfect for backpackers and central food prep area for those who like to meet and chat with others. More of a hostel feel. "

"We enjoyed our stay very much. We had a room for three which was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent, each member was friendly and ensured that our needs were met. Parking was on the street, it was free and within close proximity to the guest house. I definitely recommend a stay."

"What an amazing place Vila Milreau is. Spotlessly clean, great, quiet pool area and really friendly owners. There’s a good little supermarket across the road, three really excellent, inexpensive restaurants and a small bar which can be found if you turn right at the church. If you need to get about Ubers are readily available and super cheap. We’ll definitely be back!"

When we booked a deluxe room we thought it was a hotel but in actual fact it was a room in a shared apartment wihin a very private residential block. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was in an excellent location in a quiet area but also near the train station and the town. The hosts Cláudia and Luis have put a lot of time and effort into ensuring the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with freshly baked bread, homemade jam and good quality coffee. "Overall we enjoyed our trip and this was supported by good accommodation at the villa. The villa manager was very accessible which made things easier for us, we arrived later in the evening and had to pay a late check in fee which I believe should not be compulsory. "We selected the all inclusive buffet and it was amazing day after day. Sao was always welcoming and so was all the staff. The location is close enough to walk to the beach and restaurants. The backyard pool was pleasant to hang out around and read or have a drink. The rooms are a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Excellent stay of 2 weeks. "

"Don’t hesitate to stay at this very special hotel! The setting is beautiful with lovely views, gardens, lake and man -made beach. We took the bird/flora tour and the wine tasting, both were fantastic! The choice of leisure activities is awesome, something for everyone! Breakfasts were just the best with so much choice (the fruit and freshly baked bread and pastries were exceptional). Above all, a big thank you to the staff who, without exception, could not do enough for you with a smile and a greeting. Special mention to Alex, customer relations, who sent us wine and macaroons and was so helpful, Mona in the restaurant who anticipated our every need and was such fun! The lovely, bubbly (great English!) lady on reception who took the bird tour. Wonderful holiday, ten out of ten."

"Great hotel in a residential rather than tourist area within easy walking distance of the historic town. The hotel itself is within the Ria Shopping Centre on the 2nd floor with lift access and is very modern and clean. Good breakfast and free hot drinks available throughout the day. Would recommend."
