"The free breakfast was very limited… some fruit, oatmeal packets and yogurt. Plenty of coffee anytime. I believe just myself and one other guest were there. They put me in a handicapped room which was ok (a little awkward) and the furniture was kind of battered looking. The bed was firm but ok. I felt safe and the staff were friendly and helpful. Especially Thomas, the evening staffer."

"The only place I stayed at that required $100 CASH deposit, even after having paid with a credit card. When we got there we were unable to get into the pool because they closed it at 8pm. The table had two tiny dead roaches on it when we got into our room. The AC was not working at all and the room was more unbearably hot than being outside. Even with the windows open all night. The TV reception didnt work so we cpuldnt even watch tv because the glotching was so bad. Tried to get into the pool...

"1951 log home with huge fireplace, woodstove, hot tub and sauna. Beautiful views. Great location near Lassen Volcanic National Park. Remember to gas up and bring food. Only on country store nearby with limited options. Only a couple of restaurants too although I'm sure there are more options in season. Checkin is at Noon which gives you most of the day to get settled. Brandon lives nearby and makes sure everything is ready for your arrival. No wifi and limited cell service so you are truly off...

It all started with great communication about the planning needed for navigating snowy mountain roads, great and responsive answers to the few questions we had, and then the stay itself was fantastic.
