We did not mind not having a tv as much as we missed being able to get reception on our iPhones.

Our New "Go To" in the Champaign area.
Nice, quiet place. Rooms are not enormous, but certainly more than adequate for a night or two. After having a excellent dinner in a German restaurant in Gibson City, we sat out on the patio and watched a storm pass by as it got dark. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful!
We have season tickets to Illini football games and the inn is less than 30 minutes from the stadium. We already have plans to return several more time this season.
Everything was great. However, it would have been nice to have a small refrigerator in the room to keep some drinks cool. That would not keep me from staying there again though.
Stopped to break up a long trip home from vacation. Connie was great - very personable and accommodating! Grounds, breakfast, room and facilities top-notch Would definitely recommend.
The hostess is wonderful, the room was clean and comfortable - felt like home. Breakfast was good. We had a great nights sleep in the quiet country setting.
Timber Creek is off the beaten track and there aren't nice restaurants nearby. There are places to get bar food and I enjoyed a Mexican restaurant in downtown Paxton. Connie, the hostess at the B&B was helpful to the nth degree. She accommodated my need for an early breakfast. My room was next to the gathering room and voices penetrated my room, but guests respected others and things quieted at a reasonable time. Good price even on an Illinois moms' weekend.
Timber Creek was an accidental discovery and we enjoyed every minute. We would love to return sometime when we have more time to enjoy the surrounding gardens. The room was beautiful, the bed was oh-so-comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and nutritious. The hostess of the inn was a delight. If we ever return to Illinois, we would love to stay again!
Timber Creek B&B is the perfect alternative to hotel chains. I desperately needed a quiet night during a business trip and couldn't have been more satisfied. The fact that there was no television was a blessing. The peace and quiet, the lovely furnishings and the fabulous breakfast made for a great stay. A German restaurant 10 miles away was recommended by staff and the meal was incredible. I can't wait to return to both Timber Creek and the restaurant.
Timber Creek is outstanding. It offers a traveller the opportunity to rest and relax in a rural, quiet setting. Our room was wonderfully welcoming and the breakfast fare was deeeeeelicious. We will return and have already recommended it to many friends and business partners.
Noisy hallway at 6:45 am when 2 other couples were leaving. We also slept with our window open & early in the morning people sat out on the portch and the sound carried.
Beautiful setting, excellent service, delicious breakfast. Our only regret was that we arrived too late and had to leave too soon to enjoy the area and the inn to its full glory.
Beautiful setting, very peaceful. Was happy to accommodate extra family for breakfast, which was on short notice. Breakfast was wonderful! Room was a little small. Would have been nice if they had the fireplace going, since it was very cold outside. Other guests were friendly. Seemed a little pricey for an off season time of the year. Would probably go back again during better weather so we could enjoy the outdoor amenities.
