"This is the best hotel I've stayed in, I stayed in a small room and it was positively luxurious! I spent my time walking to and from the beach, and I could not have had an easier walk. Good hiking nearby too. Fantastic staff, absolutely sparkling room, and even though I had the most inexpensive room, it still had a balcony with seating??? Could not have had a better stay."

"We were in a studio apartment which was a little cramped when the beds were out but apart from that great place to stay, nice area, nice pool and close to the beach, shops and restaurants."

"very close to beach (4 min walk), nice and quiet neighborhood with many 1-2 storey apartment houses and villas, still in 10 min. walking distance to main street restaurants, the hotel has a very nice restaurant with good food. It is popular by families with kids. The space for 4 adults is not too much, but this is expected and OK for a short 3-night stay."

"Amazing hotel! Located very far from central places in the heart of the mountains with a great view. A large and varied spa, one of the best I've met. Excellent outdoor swimming pool. A spacious suite with a double jacuzzi. The car park is adjacent to the suite. Excellent breakfast and dinner was also good. The place looks much better than what you see in the pictures on the website. It is highly recommended!"

"We had four nights here and were treated exceptionally well from start to finish. The hotel is a bit older with some minor hiccups and smaller rooms, but the location and hospitality of the staff far exceeded our expectations. If we could give more stars than 5 for the staff, we would. Everyone - from front desk, restaurant and housekeeping were very kind and welcoming. Fantastic location, mere metres from the beach. Would recommend and would stay here again. "

"The door closing is noisy and might be added for soft closing. Also, the shower curtains are too close to the body to have a nice shower. I would highly recommend changing the shower curtain rack to c-chape to have a comfortable shower. "

"We stayed in the older less expensive side of the hotel. Room was clean and spacious. Read a lot of negative reviews prior to foing but feel the room was amazing value for money. Hotel grounds and pool are fabulous! Amazing breakfast and lovely helpful staff throughout."

"The room and all spaces I passed by were very clean. I liked the idea of not wasting water and not changing towels so often. The spa was amazing. It was a very relaxing stay. The hotel has a luxurious feel, like more than 3 stars. I definitely recommend people to go above all for the spa. It is totally worth it. And have breakfast at the hotel. So many tasty choices. "

The highlight of my experience in Girona? Walking the Passeig de la Muralla at sunset, hands down.

My first afternoon in Catalunya's second biggest city, I stumbled upon these walls with an acquaintance from my hostel, just southeast of the Plaça Catalunya. The views are simply stunning. I just had to return on my final night to try and catch the sunset, despite the catch-and-go torrential downpours that afternoon.

I highly recommend this Catalan town; in less than a few hours, it became one of my new favorite cities in Spain.

"One thing - if you use Google maps it will take you up a tiny street you cannot turn around in. I dropped off my partner and then was committed to a very slow 20 minute drive through small alleyways with pedestrians to find the way out and parking. It was just a 6-minute walk downhill back to the hotel but still kind of a stressful experience. Not the hotel's fault... Hotel and rooms are awesome. Just don't drive to the front door."

A comfortable stay in Girona

"The hotel is comfortable, quiet, and very clean. It is a 10 minute walk to the old town and a 5 minute walk to the train station. The neighborhood has cafes and stores, including a supermarket a few paces from the front door. Clean towels every three days, no coffee/kettle in the room, but otherwise perfectly acceptable."

"Wonderful property that's close to old town site seeing but not loud that can happen if you're in the middle of everything. Being on top of the hill has the advantage of best place to see the city below and sunset from the beautiful roof top terrace over the mountains on the other side of the city. The location also can make it a bit difficult to walk bach to hotel as other reviews have noted. It's not that bad and if needed you can stop to catch your breath on one of the walls. It is a very short walk to the shops and restaurants down in the old town area. Everything was well cared for and clean. They have an online restaurant and bar so you don't need to head down again if you want to stay there in the evening. Area seems safe and is residential so no need to worry about being out late at night. Highly recommend this modern friendly hotel!"
