"This has been recently refurbished and made into a hotel. The reception staff were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and shower was great. We have stopped in a few hotels in Sheffield when visiting our daughter and have always been slightly disappointed either with the rooms or parking. Parking is in the q park but if you book in advance with a code from the hotel it's way cheaper. The only down side was the breakfast. The food is a way away from the tables and...

"Excellent location friendly and helpful staff. Good range food for breakfast buffet. More limited choice for evening menu but all party found something to enjoy which was well presented."

"It was clean and tidy bed very good only fault was it could do with a more detailed clean in the bathroom plug in bath was dirty but i suppose staff only have a limited time per room so this is for the big bosses give staff the time they need to do a perfect job "

"Wonderful old hotel in a great setting, our room was a family room, huge double bed and 2 single beds set in a massive room. Everything was clean and tidy and check in and breakfast was carried out by happy and friendly staff. Not our first stay at the Palace Hotel and hopefully not our last. "

Bathroom could do with a little more ventilation - signs of mould appearing on roof / in corners but overall clean. Good sized rooms, bed very comfey. Hotel easy to fine, good walking distance from Motorpoint arena - would definitely stay here again. "

"The hotel was really nice and the outdoor heated pool was a real treat even in March. We didnt have any treatments as we were only there to enjoy 1 evening child free but what we did see of the spa treatments and the facilities were very good. The location of the hotel was perfect and next to lots of good restaurants that were within 1 minute walk. Thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and Buxton in general. We will be back"
