"This was a good experience! We were welcomed by the owners son, who made us feel very welcome and made us 2 fresh cappuccinos on arrival. "We have stayed in numerous locations throughout Europe, but this has been our favorite stay so far. The accommodations are beautiful, unique with charm and character and yet exceptionally clean and modern. Elena from the front desk was fantastic. "We travelled late 25 - 29 October 2024. Rooms. Very spacious, cleaned daily and equipped for self catering if preferred. Breakfast was nice with a nice variety. Staff welcoming. Pool opened later than usual due to out of season.. Still warm. We had a family fun. Overall lovely stay. We would return. "

"There is only street parking and you may have to pay if you don’t luck out and find free parking. You walk with your luggage to the apartment, we struggled to find the front door. No elevator so you have to carry your luggage up several flights of stairs. The room is small, but very comfortable and clean. "

Rustic retreat to rural Tuscany

"The view was truly lovely at this rustic retreat. We spend over a week swimming relaxing and day tripping to hill cities, Luca, Pisa and more. The outdoor spaces were very good for dinning reading and lounging. The drive to the house was a gravel road which means it would be best done in an SUV and not in our rented Audi and mapping to the house always wants to send you down an even longer worse gravel road, so only go through Pomaia. We learned the hard way coming from Florence you have to drive south further then expected to use the right route to avoid crazy roads. We enjoyed the beaches 35 minutes away and Volterra was definitely a must from here. There was no air in the apartment but fans did help cool down the apartment especially in the evening. Internet worked very well but there was only local channels on the TV. Overall we really enjoyed our time as a break from the rushing of Rome and Florence and time to simply take in the view of Tuscany."
