The house was extremely well appointed, from the well stocked kitchen and pantry, to the beautifully appointed bedrooms, each worthy of a magazine cover, and as for the newly renovated bathroom, amazing. "Great stay. It took a little while to get used to the fact that this property is unmanned but it actually worked very well. Check in was easy. The kitchen was well stocked. The shower pressure was great - although the shower is protected only by a curtain so not super private but wasn’t an issue. The bed was comfy. We stayed in a private room which even had a smart tv! Hostel luxury! Would definitely recommend. It is in the middle of nowhere but easy to access Whakapapa village and the other attractions in the area"

"Upmarket rustic. We (two friends) stayed just one night but could easily have done another night. Great accommodation if you are a bigger group. Comms were good. We were a little unsure about the check in but used a bit of commonsense. Heavy rain prevented us making more of the outdoor space. "

"The house was great, we stayed so my husband and brother in law could do the Tongariro Crossing. We all stayed including the kids and there was plenty of room and had everything we needed. John was great allowing a super late checkout for us also. The housr was clean and tidy. Perfect property for our stay and family numbers. Would highly recommend this property "
