"We was greeted by Paulo what a very friendly guy who showed us everything about the villa and took me on a tour of where to get the train and local supermarket. This place is quite away from Porto but don’t let this put you off I would recommend you get the uber app they are so cheap and book an uber from the airport we was charged 45 euros by a taxi but we booked an uber for the return back to the airport which was 21 that was for a large vehicle normal car was 13 . "

"Nice house, the description is pretty accurate. Quite comfortable for 8 people. We stayed in the mid of summer; the pool was very warm. The river was also warm and good for swimming. The things to pay attention to: - during hot days A/C works to full capacity. - the closest store is 10-15 min away, not walkable - if you are uncomfortable driving steep up/down hill, and sharp turns, consider staying elsewhere. "Overall this was a good stay. The riverfront, Cockburn’s & a fantastic Fado restaurant is within easy walking distance Our choice of room was double-booked & we were given the larger house. The ac had been turned off because the nights were cool. The problem was the day was very warm & the house was stuffy and we were told that we couldn’t leave the door open. The owner turned the ac on later in the night & it was very pleasant afterward."

"A wonderful and warm welcome and greeting by Leonor. Her English is excellent and made us feel very welcome. Later in the evening, there are a few - possibly homeless people around the street. They do not seem bad though and mind their own business. The Mercator do Balhão is just down the road. Amazing experience and great restaurants on then top level. The lower level has souvenirs and fresh seafood and wine-tasting stations. "
