"A charming, newly updated, light-filled house tucked away in a quiet corner of Rockport but within easy walking distance of beaches and town. Scrupulously clean, comfy beds, plenty of hot water in the shower. Kitchen needs to be better equipped, for example with salad bowl and utensils, and bedrooms need to have racks for suitcases and chairs to sit in. "

"Janet the owner was the the sweetest thing ever and consistently helpful with things like directions, recommendations, etc often before I even had to ask! The cottage has the tiny house feel and is perfectly located for all adventures to surrounding areas. We did Boston, Salem, Gloucester, Berlin, Rockport, Woodstock. Vermont, Concorde, New Hampshire, etc. and it made things super easy to accomplish a ton in 6 days. The town of Rockport itself is precious and I highly recommend Brothers Brew for breakfast, donuts, and coffee. George’s and Lobsta Land in Gloucester. The cottage was cute, clean well thought out and stocked with anything needed and we just adored our time there. Would love to be back soon! Thanks to Janet! You were amazing and such a sweetheart. "I was hesitant after reading some of the previous complaints, but booked The Cove on a whim. I absolutely LOVED my stay. It was in a quite, safe neighborhood and we were able to walk anywhere that we needed to go! The view of the beach across the street was wonderful and we loved that we could open the windows and catch the ocean breeze. We felt safe sleeping with the windows open and were never awakened by other guests or traffic noises. Complaints that I reviewed said that they had a difficult time finding the entrance: We walked (2 older women) with ease to the place in the early evening from the train station and found our entrance with ease. Another complaint - this is a self-check in facility. I loved that I didn't have to bother with anyone and the instructions were very easy to follow! I am technically challenged and had NO issues. Unexpected bonus - there is a filtered water refill in the downstairs "club house'. We also had a wonderful selection of simple breakfast come and go items that worked great for grabbing and eating lunch later at a restaurant. We actually appreciated the fact that this was a sleepy town as things do close relatively early. We found it refreshing and enjoyed retiring early so that we were refreshed to walk again in the a.m. The shower was great too! The only con: I thought that there would be a couch that could be made into a bed but it was just a futon. "

"I originally booked the studio apartment managed by the proprietresses but was informed about a scheduling error a few days prior to my trip and was consequently given a complimentary upgrade to an entire home adjacent to the studio - same location, same check-in process, just more space! My boyfriend and I loved staying in the home and would absolutely stay again while bringing 6 additional people along, it's that spacious. Amazing location in Rockport with access to numerous amenities in the home to maximize comfort."
