"What a beautiful location. Perfect for day trips to all the Tuscan attractions and towns. Less than 5 minute drive to Montecarlo where you can find some lovely restaurants. Grocery shopping is close by as well. Luigi and Franca were awesome. Luigi went out of his way to educate us on where to go in Tuscany and shared much about his interesting life history. Don't miss Franca's most amazing tiramisu. Sorry I didn't get the recipe!"

"First the owners and care taker Victoria are wonderful people. The home was much more “rustic” than we expected. AC can only be run at night and works intermittently. The shower and toilets are a combination sort of deal. So you shower on a wooden crate they provide while the shower curtain separates you from the toilet. This setup drenched the bathroom every time we showered and felt generally unclean and awkward. The sheets provided smelled musty and didn’t feel clean. We made the most of our...

"Just amazing property Lucca was lovely. The road leading to the house was no joke its really off-road. I had a rubbish car and it made it but you need to have some vague confidence. Pizza night organised was really enjoyable had a smashing time. Id say the house is definitely child safe but for a really active 1 year old we found ourselves constantly having to monitor him every second he was awake. But it’s defiantly manageable really nice stay and well worth the visit. "

"This lovely home could not be better situated for a northern Tuscan vacation. It is close to Pisa, Lucca, Pietrasanta, the beautiful Ligurian Sea, as well as the Cinque Terre and the jaw dropping marble quarry of Carrara . The town of Camaiore is a bustling surprise, full of terrific restaurants and cute shops. This home is a winner of a vacation spot with the best pool ever, and the location provides a beautiful balance of peace and excitement. Enjoy!!"

"Absolutely wonderful. It was what I imagined a Tuscan Villa would be and more. It is private with spectacular views. The inside is roomy and comfortable with beautiful vaulted wood ceilings throughout. The kitchen was well equipped with everything I could think of. The pool is great with a gate that keeps children safe. The terraces with cushioned seating were perfect for lounging. The beds were very comfortable. Nice washer and clothes line. "This is a truly beautiful house with long views down to Lucca and olive groves all around. It is well-furnished and we slept really soundly. Massimo, the host, is extremely gracious and offers many great ideas for local activities and day trips, and once you find it the local supermarket is very well stocked. "We are a group of 12 retired friends traveling first time in Tuscany. Villa Buonamici was the perfect accommodation for us. It is very close to the gate to the walled city center, literally only minutes away. The accommodations were exactly as described. Checkin/out was very easy and convenient. Our trip to Tuscany included stays in four separate locations and Villa Buonamici was by far our favorite. Do yourself a favor and stay at this Villa, you won’t be disappointed."
