"Arrived at the Convivial on 8/29/2024. A sign said to call a cell phone, no one around. Not a good start for a place named "convivial". Someone came down and showed us a room with stained carpets, stained curtains, stained towels, dark bathroom that wasn't clean. Carpeted stairs had stains. The carpets everywhere looked worn and not vacuumed. The doors to the rooms were plain wooden doors you might have in your house. One of them had a crack in it that you could see light come through. Not secure at all. The lobby was dark and the couch had a dark stain, as if someone had wiped greasy hands on it. No "luxury" here. There is a courtyard with a small pool that had not been cleaned for a long time. The walls below water were dirty. There were debris floating on the water and there was no filtration pump going. There were droppings on the pavement and the few tables/chairs were covered with dust. Not "spa" like either. The receptionist showed us three rooms and they were all in similar conditions. We spoke with the owner and they refused to refund our money. They offered to clean the room. I was disgusted and wouldn't sleep there even at no charge. I had to find another place to stay. I complained to Expedia. They tried to get in touch with the owner. The owner didn't answer the calls, Expedia did not approve a refund. This is the cancellation policy of 24 hours prior, but it seems there is no protection against false advertising. This place has been neglected for some time."

"Pros: An excellent hotel at a gorgeous beach by the pine forest. Unlimited sea view from the beautiful stylish big rooms. Private beach with free premium sunbeds. Fine dining restaurant. Cons: Restaurant service stuff was inexperienced. Music playing from 10am till after midnight is loud passes in the main building front rooms. The Sikelianios villa restaurant was closed (2024), villa was unaccessible. Overall, highly recommended. "

"Billi is an awesome host, super accomodating, very responsive to requests and questions, very informative to the local area....can not say enough about her and her property. We did a week in Athens first, which is very busy and was not a relaxing portion of our vacation, nor did we expect it to be. We followed that week with a week in Billi's house in Perachora.....so glad we did. So easy to relax here, such a quite place to unwind and let the last weeks anxiety of crazy Athens uptempo life slide away. The trip to Hera's temple and swim at the beautiful Heraion Bay beach, and even swim in Lake Vouliagmeni from the side of the road (didn't try using the "resort" beach front places to rent a chair or lounger....just parked the car and hoped in the lake, it's awesome! We loved our time at her property, the grill area was accomodating for our family, the pool is such a welcome relief to the summer heat if we didn't make the trip to the lake or beach, the views are awesome, wether for breakfast with a coffee and pastry in the morning, or a beer or mixed drink in the evening at dusk. We really will be coming back!"
