"I might say you get what you pay for. Normally I stay at Nomada Beach hostel, but since I was on a shoestring I went the budget route with Casa Santurce. It was a low key place but the bunk rooms are cramped, and their is no kitchen. For a few dollars more at Nomada you get a pool, a nice kitchen, much better showers, and many different sitting areas. I'd suggest that Casa Santurce make this more cooking friendly, and also provide a few more places to sit."

"The staff was great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The place is not very well maintained. Mosquitoes ripped me to shreds in the bathroom and bedroom. There were roaches in the bathroom at night. The bed was not very comfortable. Although the staff was great, I would not stay here again. "

"The staff was so friendly and amazing. Our washer broke and they did our laundry for us the communication was perfect and staying in old San Juan was absolutely perfect. Everything was so walkable and accessible I can’t imagine staying somewhere else it was right in the middle of everything and the street of the rentals doesn’t have cars on it so it was so peaceful and quiet. Would highly recommend. "

"Hugos place was surprisingly gorgeous. Ive stayed in a few places in PR and this time Old San Juan was a 1st. I loved the beautiful plants that adorned the walkway to the room. The property was clean and quiet. Located in the middle of Old San Juan, close to stores, restaurants and the cruise port. Hugo replied back quickly and addressed any of our concerns. This rental went smooth and effortlessly. Hugos rental is definitely recommended. You wont be dissapointed. "
