"Belle Mare is well run with lots of staff to assist. Beach and pools are well maintained. Golf is excellent and easily available - free for residents which is great for 18 holes whenever and twilight 9 holes. Definitely will come back. "

"Excellent. Staff great, friendly, approachable and professional. Food was good, buffet style, ate too much ! Beautiful walks along the coast. Not hassled by anyone, just walked for miles. Evening entertainment, leisure staff cheerful and energetic. All good, loved our three week stay."

"The location is great and the entire property setting is beautiful. The rooms are nice and we had a lagoon room which feels even more private. The Japanese restaurant is very nice, overall the food is good. It’s still one of the great resorts in the Indian Ocean. "

"Excellent resort. Our villa (on stilts) was quiet, had all the expected amenities and more, and overlooked the lake, although the boardwalk did have a significant people drifting passed, particularly to the restaurant. Food excellent; staff very helpful. Wine expensive. Was given a villa to stay after check-out before a late airport departure, very much appreciated. 2 minor concerns: our villa was always cleaned late (after 2pm) which meant we had to wait before going back there after lunch....

"Our stay was beautiful. The resort offered a wonderful and peaceful stay. All the staff are super nice and attentive and care. The kitchen staff are lovely especially Ti madam, Karisma, Syndy and Roshinee. I would definitely comeback and recommend Anahita. "

"Overall a fantastic stay for my 30th birthday! The staff are all so helpful and attentive. What we loved: Staff gave me a birthday cake surprise at dinner - thank you so much Sayid. The house keeping also decorated my bed with a happy birthday message which was so lovely. Staff were also friendly, attentive that they made sure I was comfortable as I was also pregnant. "La villa est très bien placée, à quelques mètres d'une très belle plage. Il faut une voiture car il n'y a aucun commerce et restauration accessibles à pied à proximité. La maison est grande mais n'a rien d'une villa de rêve : manque d'entretien général. C'est dommage car il suffirait de quelques petits travaux et nouvelle décoration pour la rendre plus agréable à vivre. Il faudrait la traiter également contre les cafards. Nous n'avons eu aucun accueil, ni de contact avec le propriétaire durant...

"We only stayed for one night in transit on our way home to the U.S. as it was close to the airport, but we were very impressed with this property. The hotel was modern and the rooms were very spacious and clean. I enjoyed the small but well equipped gym and the lunch buffet was excellent; it was one of the best and most affordable meals that we had during our vacation. The staff was also friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend this hotel. "
