Not a luxury hotel by any means but clean and well equipped rooms with comfy beds and kitchenette. We had breakfasts and most dinners here no problem. "I understand that Val d'Isere is expensive. However, when you run a property without anybody attending the property, you have to communicate very well. The conditions must be clearly written. I could not par a car on the arrival because the code is wrong. They finally got it right after a few messages including ask a guard at the property. I have tried to ask as many people as possible at the property for information including a cleaner. The cleaner explained to me where to put the key...

"Cogne is simply beautiful. Small enough to be charming, big enough to stay busy and entertained. The Chateau Royal was a great home base. Centrally located, comfortable and we'll equipped. We originally booked two nights but added two more as it was such a great village with so much to do. We hiked, fished, rafted and paraglided plus catching some of the abundant castles and forts in the Sister Valley). This one is a do-over (we'll be back:-)."

"Excellent apartment and great location. We had a great stay… but the Wifi was non existent…. You get two logins for each apartment and it is extremely slow. Put bluntly… not usable. Also mobile data is not possible. The building seems to be located in a dark spot for all networks."
