"I would give this property 100 stars if I could! Best VRBO I have ever stayed. It is immaculate, private, well appointed with floor to ceiling windows looking over the tidal basin. The tidal water changes are a show in themselves and the wildlife adds to its splendor. The gas fireplace warmed the rooms when the air cooled in the evening. Full kitchen to eat-in and use. A perfect size home for a couple or two. Bar Harbor and Acadia NP are a short drive, and Hancock has many hiking options. But...

"My family had a wonderful stay in this house. Between hiking in the Schoodic Peninsula, visiting Bar Harbor, and soaking up the view from Cadillac Mountain, we loved swinging on the porch swing, having coffee on the front porch, and relaxing around the dinner table. The house is recently renovated, clean, and in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts are invested in your stay and very responsive to any messages you send. There are restaurants, gas stations, and grocery stores all close by - be sure...

" We absolutely loved our time at Escape lake house in Maine! The setting was gorgeous and cannot be beat. The view is never the same and we loved watching the changing light on the water. The house is as described in the listing and the primary bedroom and bathroom are great. Note that one of the “bathrooms” is actually in a side entry room with the washer/dryer and extra stove, and is not super private. Also, 2 of the showers are very small stand-up showers. "We stayed 4 nights at this awesome home with convenient access to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Plenty of room and very quiet location. The kitchen was very well appointed with modern cookware and plenty of dishes, etc. The bedrooms were quiet and very comfortable. Bonus; we has an awesome viewing of the Northern Lights! The property manager was very responsive to questions as well. I would definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area!"

The pictures don't do the property justice, it truly is a beautiful location. Mike goes above and beyond making sure everything is perfect and taken care of with incredible attention to detail. "We loved staying here in fact wish we had booked it for longer! The views were wonderful. close to a grocery store and a 30ish minute drive to Bar Harbor/Acadia. Very private. Great place to stay when you want to be able to enjoy Acadia and Bar Harbor but also want peace and quiet. Definitely would recommend to anyone."
