"Such a great location and property for our 3 families. Off the beaten path on a quiet corner of the lake, we spent lots of time swimming, paddling, and relaxing. The Maine house easily accommodated us for meals, games, and hanging out. The cabins were great to spread out at night. We look forward to a repeat stay! "

We enjoyed using the popcorn popper as well. Even though there is no forced air heating or cooling, we felt quite comfortable, even with the outside temperature ranging from 40s to 80s. The internet seems to be using Starlink and was quite fast. The location is fairly convenient. It's about 30 minutes to Bar Harbor and most Acadia...

"What a view! We stayed two couples and 1 (18 month old). The house was just a short drive into downtown Ellsworth. Just about 8-10 Minutes to the local restaurants, LLBean outlet, and a wonderful playground/park. The home had comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, recently updated furniture/decor, and an exceptional view. We had plenty of space and enjoyed our stay. We would definitely recommend! "

"Great location - short drive to shopping and outdoor adventuring activities. Comfortable accommodations. Very private lot. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the house during our stay, but the sunsets are amazing and it was fun to walk around near the shore during low tide. "This place is very clean and the rooms are large. I enjoyed the walk down to the water, which is close by. Kitchen was well stocked. I, too, felt a railing on the stairs would be helpful. I am new to the Vacasa connection, so that took some learning, but all went well. "

"This was our first time but will definitely not be our last! Gorgeous lakefront property with tons of modern conveniences. Very comfortable, great kitchen and bathrooms. The only negative was a strong sulfur smell in the water (shower and bathroom sinks mostly). Other than that, it was great. "

"Wow, what a nice place. Very very well equipped kitchen (even sharp knives!). We enjoyed the fireplace, the view, the quiet area, comfortable bed, the overall look of the place. Was obviously way too big for the two of us, we used only one third of the house!"

"Peregrine House is situated on a quiet road in a peaceful location with a lovely view of the bay and gorgeous sunsets. There is easy access to the town of Castine and the house is a short walk to the beach where we enjoyed swimming. The house was well-equipped. The beds and living area were comfortable. Mary Lou was responsive to our questions and needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"The cottage was cute and well equipped. At first as we were driving there it seemed so far off the beaten path. As we ventured out the next day to Acadia National park we realized we weren’t that far away. It was about a 45 min drive. We do like to watch a little tv before bed; so, if you want a tv, there is no tv. We listened to our music. It was a little too cold to sit outside to do any star gazing. The view of the sunrise over Cadillac mountain was beautiful!"

"Wonderful camp, just magnificent views of the pond. The road was tough (unpaved), but it was so quiet. Again we went in October. Inside was very clean and nice, just like the photos they had on the website. We took drive to Bar Harbor very nice 👌 "
