"This is a residential area. I didnt see any shops or places to eat nearby. However very close to train station. You need to check in with an emailed code. Room was fine and large. A very nice breakfast was included at the sister hotel a few doors down which was really good. Overall recommended but my big tip is dont expect nearby shops or places to eat. Is nice and quiet area. "

"We had the most wonderful stay. It was exquisite. Unbelievable how perfectly it has been preserved with 14th century stained glass and a view from a fairytale. We were welcomed warmly by David who is a gifted artist and the breakfast was fine dining. We couldn’t have wished for a more perfect stay and we’re grateful he shared his gorgeous home. Don’t hesitate to book. "

"What a wonderful place to stay! In great walking distance from the bustling centre of Bruges but in the old town so a lovely and quiet base to return to after a busy day of shopping and indulging. Sofie was an amazing host, offering the best recommendations and very attentive in making sure we had everything we needed and that our stay was really special. "Location was perfect, able to walk to all main sites, hotel just off main market square and canal with boat trips 1 min away. Staff at hotel excellent. Only minus if staying in guest house is there are no lifts and two flights of stairs but rooms are lovely."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at B&B Cimbarsaca. The owner/host Luce was very gracious and accommodating, and also spoke perfect English. "Firstly this b&b is most certainly NOT in a rural location as described by Expedia and is definitely NOT multilingual. Just the one member of ‘staff’. The b&b is in the city centre and surrounded by buildings. The only parking is on street - if your lucky. The place does not have its own ‘free parking’ at all. We arrived at b&b at 20.00 after booking our room at 13.30 on the same day to find no one there. Proprietor eventually appeared from property next door as we phoned him and he had no idea...

"Brilliant stay at this B&B as a family including our baby. We had plenty of space in our room and even had a smaller room joining in which we kept our luggage and our travel cot when our baby napped. The host was lovely and so helpful. She explained everything to us about breakfast service (which was so helpful for us as parents up super early and hungry). The host even provided a high chair for our baby. "I was not expecting a code-style reception at "A Flemish Tale. To me, an in-person reception check-in is essential for a traveler overseas like me. Thankfully, I was waiting downstairs at least 2 hours before my "check-in time" at 3:00 p.m., so that I was able to meet, totally by chance, the lady in charge at the entrance. But for this, I would not have been able to get my access code. Imagine how scary it was! "
