"Outstanding location in the pedestrian friendly old town center with many shops and restaurants closeby. Hotel is on the river and has excellent views including from our room. Histroical front facade. Nicely renovated and clean. Coffee shop had good coffee and excellent local deserts like Lebkuchen (gingerbread), Kurbis-Walnuss (pumpkin-walnut-cream cheese-cake), and Preiselbeer-Baiser (berry filled pie shaped cake with a merrangue topping). We parked in the big underground municipal lot under the garden-park in front of the turist office - a 5 minute walk. The helpful coffee shop waitress suggested a small local pub nearby (name: Kachelofen) on the way to the castle, cozy with loads of character and delightful local and traditional German dishes. Highly recommend."

"Sebastian at the front desk was most helpful and spoke English very well. Hotel is clean. Bed mattresses are very basic, pillows were decent. Bamberg is very charming!"

"Right on the river and a short walk to old town. We were visiting during the football games being held in Germany and there were a lot of people up very late and making a lot of noise if their team won. But this was out of the hotels control."
